Overall, this stay was a roof over our heads, but several cleanliness, comfort, and communication issues made it disappointing.The floors looked clean, but our feet quickly turned black from walking barefoot, so we bought a Swiffer and cleaned them ourselves. We found a used towel in the master bathroom and a noticeably brown shower liner, a folded towel with dark streaks in the guest bathroom. There was debris on the dining room floor and worked into the master bedroom shag rug.The listing says home has AC, but does not clearly disclose that it consists of window units, and one bedroom had no AC.The entire home also smelled strongly of old cigarettes despite the listing stating the home is 100% non-smoking. We had to spray Febreze daily to help conceal it.The kitchen was not clean either. The first two cups we pulled from the pantry had hardened white residue inside, so we had to run the dishwasher before using the kitchenware.We also had a lockout issue. While accidentally locking ourselves out was our fault, it took about 20 minutes to reach the emergency contact and another 20 minutes to find a solution. We were told to either wait 5 hrs for a spare key or pay a locksmith. Fortunately, the co-host suggested we try a credit card, which unsettlingly took 90 secs.We understand rentals aren't perfect and take responsibility for the lockout, but with all of the issue listed it did not meet expectations. The property was functional, but we would not stay here again.
