We stayed at the Playhouse Cinema over the July 4th holiday with a total of 4 families. While the cabin was clean, our group was disappointed in some aspects of our stay.
Pros:
-All spaces and appliances were clean
-Location to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood was only a 15-20 minute drive
-The newer decorations like lamps, rug, chairs, etc, were a nice touch.
-The grill was full of gas.
-The main and lower levels of the cabin were nicely cooled.
-There were lots of pillows and blankets provided.
Cons:
-There was no welcome guide in the cabin. When we had questions about the pool, I had to call the 1-800 Eden Crest line and the rep couldn’t answer my question about times.
-The outdoor pool was small and water was very cloudy. Also the water fall was not working which resulted in it looking like a swamp. It was also far from our cabin. We would have liked to walk to the pool, but that was not possible given the distance, hills and high temperatures.
-The cooking utensils were plastic and poor quality.
-The grill ignitor should be replaced as it didn’t work.
-The upper level of the cabin was very warm despite being set at the coolest temp possible.
-The upper level loft area was much smaller than what was portrayed in the listing.
Overall, the cabin met the needs of our group but we probably wouldn’t stay there again. We had thought the property was more of a gated community, staffed resort. This is just our feedback though others may have a different experience
