Haarlem House
First of all, let me say that we did like and enjoyed our interaction with our host. Having said that though, the apartment was not really accurately described on the VRBO site. It was listed as having two full bathrooms, which it did not have. As a result, two couples had to share a bathroom for a week. The 2nd bath, on the first floor was, in fact, a half bath, under a stairway, with a sink that didn't work. Also, the site description doesn't tell you that the upstairs bedrooms are up a full flight of 20 stairs. Since VRBO does ask you to tell something about yourself & your fellow travelers, as you contemplate a possible rental agreement, we noted that we were two couples, two in our late 70's & two in our early 70's. Since this information goes directly to the host, I think she should have been obligated to inform us of the stairs. The house was in a good location & very near the train station. There was on street parking for an additional fee. Also, not mentioned at the time of booking.
