Central, cosy and modern appartment in Houseboat. Amsterdam Pur Sang.

Going out to discover Amsterdam and surroundings or just finding your quiet spot when working or relaxing, up to four can enjoy a lovely place on one of the Canals.

Everything is within reach, as well as a filmmuseum, 100m high lookout or just a nice restaurant next to the water or even beach. Also going out for nature is a 15 min tour on a bike or car. Or visit one of the famous Musea Amsterdam has by walking up to one of the free Ferries and get into the tram or metro. Even by bike it is only 20 minutes away.

Your host has a lot of knowledge on where one can go, all depending if it needs to be a local, cultural experience or just for food and good music. It's all there you just have to make something good out of it.

* Appartment is on the water (inside modern Houseboat - floating house)
* 50m2 big with bathroom/toilet nearby and 2 bedrooms
* garden/terrace available (also for bike parking)
* 5 min walk to nearest Musea/restaurants and lots of info available on places to visit
* also good quiet place for working (good wifi, laptops or screens extra)
* easy to reach from Airport by taxi (90 euro/25 min or train 7 euro/15 min) by train
(10 min walk or transport on request) or car
* many parking options available, 10 euro/day on the Ranonkelkade
* fitness and biking possibilities within 5 min walk (swimming in Summertime outside)
* options for (oldtimer) car travel available (even Campers/RV welcome)
* electric car charging possible in the neighboorhood

Excellent little apartment. My only recommendations would be to have screens on the back door to prevent mosquitos and another fan. A small microwave would have been nice but not necessary. I would recommend and stay there again.

We had a great stay at this property. The property was exactly as advertised and was just right for three people. It certainly was close to the center of Amsterdam but far enough to be quiet. I would certainly stay here again.

Very nice place to stay right on the water and close to main Amsterdam. Easy to get to and to check-in. Friendly host who responded right away with any questions. Would stay again.

Great stay. Awesome location conveniently located a free short ferry ride away from Amsterdam central station but from there you can go anywhere in the city via the metro and the center of Amsterdam.

Cozy houseboat

Very nice stay om Edwin's houseboat. Location is very good in a quit canal on the North side but still close to Central Station. 10 min walk to the free ferry witch run 24/7.The apartment is well equipped. There is heated floors and a nice bathroom.

Great Boat House

We enjoyed our stay despite all the rain. Great location. Few mins walk to the ferry that takes you directly to Centraal Station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Thank you Edwin for a great visit.

Nice houseboat close to all

Only minutes to free 24/7 ferry to downtown Amsterdam, close to all, restaurants, supermarkets, bike rentals, etc. Very quiet area. Great host, good communications, fast check in, available for advice on where to go.

Excellent host, excellent property

Edwin was very helpful with suggestions around town and responded quickly. The property was clean, a short ferry ride to Amsterdam Centraal, and comfortable. Staying here made our visit to Amsterdam really pleasant.

Loved the houseboat experience

Great stay in a traditional Dutch houseboat

A two bedroom apartment in a houseboat. Newly renovated, with the benefit of a small kitchen. A quiet location, only a quick ferry ride from downtown. Highly recommended for those wanting a unique experience.

Fantastic stay in the perfect location for exploring

The boat itself is great for a cozy stay. It’s nice and warm and in great condition. There are 4 single beds that are together to essentially create 2 doubles so it’s a bit cozy if you’re sharing with friends. The location is perfect as it’s just about a 10min walk from the free 24/7 ferry into the centre. Theres also plenty to see on the north side of the river. Would highly recommend this stay.

We are a multicultural family and enjoy living the city live of Amsterdam. As travellers ourselves we love to go out into Europe for nature or city vacation/trips. Lately we are discovering Eastern Europe which used to be a blindspot. We build our own Houseboat recently and enjoy sharing it with travellers. As an Art Historian i am familiar with the hotspots and cultural life to visit and my wife nows all about where to shop. Want to experience pure Amsterdam cultural life, just let us now.

Living on a Houseboat is unique in a busy city like Amsterdam. It provides lots of space and comfort as well as nice views over the water and a nice city garden. It gives you an all year of vacation-feeling compared to most homes because of the light surroundings and water. And for the location we have best of both worlds, just walk into town or take a bike into nature, and not having to much traffic in the direct surroundings.

Waterfront, musea and citylife all on a short walking distance away. Even swimming in the Canal if the watertemperature is OK in the summertime (july-aug-sept). Or bring a boat or rent a cannoo to make a fun day on the water. If you are into discovering what is so special about Amsterdam just let me know. Amsterdam Pur Sang
