Casa Jocote: Rainforest Dream House in Cabo Matapalo

Relax and renew in this 2-bedroom tropical open air home in Playa Carbonera. The adorable space features two king size beds, a single bed, and a sofa bed. It’s perfect for a small group or family. Guests can unwind in the spacious living area. This includes a comfortable sofa (sofa bed) and hammocks around the perimeter. The bathroom offers a refreshing hot or cold shower overlooking tropical gardens. Whether you’re lounging indoors or planning your next adventure, this wonderful house provides a cozy and inviting retreat. The home is located in the heart of the Playa Carbonera neighborhood. It is steps to the beach, a short walk to the Carbonera River (for a refreshing dip), next door to the only local restaurant, walking distance to the Carbonera waterfall, and 100 m from the Carbonera School and soccer field. We are a short drive (5-10 min) to the surfing beaches of Cabo Matapalo and a 25 minute drive to Puerto Jimenez. The Casa Jocote is open air living at its finest. Its has a modern and minimalist design. Starlink Internet makes this jungle home accessible for remote living and coworking. There is a large greenhouse on the property steps from the kitchen. Harvest some native culinary herbs for your nightly meal. Watch the animals pass by as the forage in the garden. It’s a unique experience that will last a lifetime.
Please note that the restaurant next door has a community gathering every Friday night. There are sometimes DJ's with music playing until 11:30. This is not every Friday but we cannot say exactly when. Earplugs are recommended for those nights. The restaurant is closed from the end of September through mid December.
