The apartment was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and a great quiet location downtown. Parking passes were provided, so you didn’t have to pay on street parking. The host was very nice and quick to respond to questions/concerns. They were very clear about the flight of stairs, but they didn’t concern us. However, older guests might find them difficult, especially carrying luggage. We would definitely book this property again.

I fell in love with hosting in 2010, when I began renting out a room in our Brooklyn apartment. What started as a practical decision quickly became something much more meaningful, and discovered how much I enjoy welcoming people and creating thoughtful, comfortable spaces.

Today, my family and I split our time between Brooklyn and Northeast Pennsylvania, where we’ve created a cozy, carefully curated retreat in the heart of Honesdale. Sharing this town and its unique charm with guests is a true pleasure, and I’m always happy to help make your stay as comfortable, easy, and memorable as possible.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

Honesdale sits at the crossroads of the Poconos and the Upper Delaware River Valley, making the Loft a convenient home base for regional exploration. Lake Wallenpaupack is a short drive away and offers swimming, boating, and lakeside dining. The nearby river towns of Narrowsburg and Callicoon, NY are popular for their shops, restaurants, farmers markets, and cultural events along the Delaware River.

The area is known for hiking, kayaking, fishing, fall foliage, and seasonal festivals, and offers a quieter, more authentic alternative to larger resort towns in the Poconos.

この宿泊施設の特徴

The Loft is located right downtown on Main Street and within easy walking distance of shops, cafés, coffee, restaurants, galleries, the Lackawaxen River and Irving Cliff. Many guests find they don’t need a car once they arrive, making it a convenient and relaxed home base for exploring town on foot.
