Beautiful views, comfy beds, a place to relax. Nancy is wonderful at communicating. The pool area was great. Our dogs enjoyed looking out of all the windows and going for walks around the property. We were able to use the fire pit and make s’mores. Great memories.

We had a very relaxing weekend exploring the parks and Redwood trees. The house and property are very unique with all of the wood and windows. It could use some updating but the older features just added to the charm. Would definitely return.

Host, Nancy, was a good communicator and check in and out were simple. The house is in a great, secluded location in the mountains, and at one time, you can see how this was a beautiful, very expensive, one of a kind masterpiece of a home with unique design elements and lots of windows. The home, however, is in need of a large amount upkeep, updating, and some repairs, which I know would be expensive for a home of this scale. There are broken windows, rotting spots in the floor, and unfinished items throughout the home. The main freezer is broken so there is a chest freezer in the dining area. The balcony is about 50% unfinished and unusable and being blocked by a makeshift fence panel for "safety." Underneath the balcony on the ground, looks like an unclean construction area. There are a lot of fit and finish issues including old appliances that do not work, openings in and around those appliances and the master tub upstairs, but the biggest issue was the presence of rodents during the visit. We caught one in a sticky trap in the pantry that I had to dispose of and then later in the trip, my son saw one dart across the bottom bedroom. We tried to plug the hole he saw it go into, but there are a lot of openings in the walls in that basement area that need to be filled in. Sleeping in the bedroom in that basement, you could hear active rodent activity in the walls, which made it hard to sleep. I wish I knew about all of this before booking.
