Surrounded by stately oaks, a wrought iron picket fence and private gardens, you are just a few minutes' walk from the iconic Stone Arch bridge, over the Mississippi River. Walk, drive or bike share to U of MN, local cafes, shops, parks, entertainment, and all that nearby downtown Minneapolis has to offer.

It's also a comfortable space for business travel, local exploration, university visits, or a private retreat.
Floor plan:
First Floor: Living room with comfortable seating, tv and streaming services. There is a half bath in entry foyer.
Well-appointed kitchen with fireplace offers cookware, utensils, dishware, and small appliances. Coffee/tea included as well as some basic oils, spices and condiments.
Formal dining room with a fireplace, and a massive, Italian round table that is perfect for business meetings, family style meals or game nights. During warmer months, enjoy the wraparound porch, screen porch, and back patio.
Second floor: Two very spacious bedrooms with soaring ceilings and wonderful light. One bedroom has a California king sized bed, ceiling fan, and portable fan. The other has a fireplace, wall a/c unit, ceiling fan, and portable fan. There is also a loft area with a desk and single daybed. A pack n' play portable crib and air mattresses are available for your use if desired.
One especially large bathroom on the second floor with oversized shower, soaking tub, two sink areas and full laundry facilities.
Third Floor: The expansive open space on the third level includes a queen bed, twin bed, and a small separate room with a futon. Inflatable mattresses are also available. This area also has a sink, mini fridge, sectional sofa, tv with streaming services, and a charming turret with a reading nook.
Basement Level: The original limestone basement is unfinished and is a space shared with two other units. It houses a gym area, an additional modern full bathroom, and additional laundry facilities, all are available for your use.

You will have the entire main quarters of this historic home. This includes three levels of living space, a large front porch, small, screened porch, private walkway, and one gated parking space.
There is also plenty of free, on-street parking in this residential neighborhood.
The south side of the home has two condo style apartments attached, with a separate porch, walkway and private entrances. This originally housed the staff of the family and are now rented spaces.
The courtyard, patio, grounds, and basement areas are spaces shared with the other units and first come first served.
Climbing stairs is required to navigate this property.

This historic property is located in an urban, residential neighborhood. We have quiet hours to respect our neighbors, but outside of our gardens, you can expect a typical city ambiance with the bustling activity of a college town.

We are a smoke free building. No smoking of any kind is allowed in our historic home, common areas or screen porch.
We prefer that shoes are not worn inside the mansion to help preserve our recently renovated floors. Please bring slippers if desired.
