Coffee in the quiet, adventure all day, stars by the fire at night

Zions Emerald is a private, tree-surrounded cabin just steps from the Stave Spring trailhead on the East Zion side of the park. From the front door you can hike Cable Mountain or Deertrap, with Observation Point only minutes away and the East Zion entrance about a 20-minute drive. World-class hiking, mountain biking, and guided canyoneering excursions are all close by, while the cabin itself remains peaceful and tucked away from the crowds.

The cozy cabin comfortably sleeps up to four guests with a loft king bed, living room pull-out sofa, and full bathroom. The kitchen includes a stove, microwave, and coffee maker, and fast Starlink Wi-Fi keeps you connected when you want it. After a day outdoors, relax in the solarium, grill on the deck, or gather around the fire pit under exceptionally dark, star-filled skies.

Ideal for hikers, stargazers, and anyone wanting a quiet retreat steps from Zion’s East-side trails.

4WD or AWD is recommended for winter and early spring

House was clean and abundant with space for activities both indoors and out. Alex and Vanessa had a super detailed guidebook which would be helpful to anyone looking for something to do in this great outdoors area.

Vanessa’s family built their vacation cabin on the borderline of Zion National Park in the mid-1970’s. As a child, she spent many summers hiking, exploring & enjoying the magical land of Zion. The area created special memories with family and friends; holding a special place in her heart. When Vanessa started a family of her own it was no surprise she brought them to the area; sharing the magic of her childhood with her own family. Hiking familiar trails and discovering new secrets became harder and harder to leave. Soon she and her husband, Alex, realized each visit was never long enough. In 2020 it was time to make Zion their home.
Their love & knowledge of the area ensures their guests experience the magic of the Zion area just like a local. No matter how long or short the stay; everyone is guaranteed a unique experience. Breathtaking vistas, towering cliffs cast in rainbow patterns, sand in your shoes, canyons that wind on in maze-like patterns… it’s all here. Waiting to become unforgettable memories.
