When you come to Miramar Beach for vacation, this renovated studio will be the perfect home base for all your Florida adventures. Located on the beach side of the Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort, this 12th-floor studio in Luau I is perfect for both adventure and retreat. You can enjoy beach access to the sugar-white sands of the Emerald Coast with family and friends daily.



Panoramic ocean views from the lovely balcony spanning the emerald waters of the Gulf to Choctawhatchee Bay make up the exterior of this home. Inside, the studio is modern and simple, decorated in a tasteful nautical-beach theme. Get comfortable on the sofa and wind down from your travels by watching some cable TV in air-conditioned comfort or enjoying gorgeous views inside and out from the quaint balcony.



Create simple meals and snacks in the kitchenette, and if you have leftovers from dining out, keep them fresh in the refrigerator and warm them up for a late-night snack in the microwave. In the morning, start your day off with a crispy toasted bagel and hot coffee, compliments of the toaster and coffeemaker.



When it's time for sleep, your small group has two options: a queen-size bed and a sleeper sofa. All together, this rental sleeps up to four guests. The renovated bathroom has a tub/shower combo. If needed, high-speed internet access is also available for a fee through the HOA.



The only problem you may have during your vacation at this desirable venue is finding the time to do all the activities offered here. When you aren't lounging on your balcony enjoying stunning views or playing a few rounds on the tennis courts, hang out poolside and relax, then end your day with a calming soak in the shared hot tub. The Luau building has a saltwater pool with a waterfall, a kids' pool, a hot tub, and a snack bar with tropical surroundings, and you'll also have a fitness room and an observation area on the 11th floor, offering a spectacular viewpoint for sunsets.

Take a short tram ride to Baytowne Wharf - the resort's village - to browse the shops and sample restaurants and bars. BUILDING CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: Roofing Project is slated to begin in the coming days. Those of you in town may have noticed some of the staging and prep beginning on-site this afternoon.

This re-roof will begin on Tower 2 and then move over to Tower 1. We expect 8-9 weeks, with two weeks off for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so that this project will extend into early 2026.

Super cute!!

We stayed for our anniversary weekend at Luau. Condo had plenty of room for the two of us and is decorated super cute. My ONLY complaint is the bed isn’t super comfy, not terrible and definitely not a deal breaker. Overall we had a wonderful time and plan to stay here again!

Nice place; but bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper

Amazing ocean view! Perfect sunsets and sunrises!

My small family of four enjoyed this lovely little ocean view condo! It’s a short walk to the beach, but I do suggest to bring some type of wagon for all of your stuff. The only issue that I have is that the comforter set wasn’t as fresh as I would like and the 1-2 day supply of towels and wash cloths. Overall the property was beautiful. It was close to shopping, restaurants and activities. I would definitely love to come back in the future!

Great condo but beach was way overcrowded.

Pretty condo and Community. However our experience with the beach was terrible. It was so overcrowded, even with rented chair set up people put umbrellas and chairs practically in our spot. We will not return because of this.

A Chance to Unwind!

It was wonderful! The room was airy, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom big and roomy. This room has every thing you need for a few days stay. A microwave to heat up left overs, plates, silverware, napkins dish soap...they thought of everything. After a day of revisiting all that Destin has to offer, we could relax on the comfortable couch and watch TV, visit the hot tub or just gaze out our back balcony, There is an convenient sidewalk for walking or jogging around the golf course, an on site mini putt putt or fishing in the lake! So much to do (we even saw a pair of Bald Eagles on our walk)! We are back in the busyness of our daily routines but it was so nice to take a beak and get away a little while!

The room was nice. A few more kitchen amenities would have been nice (blender, more bowls, etc). More light in the bathroom is a must. The balcony was slightly disappointing-not even room for a chair? The fact that there was only one ice machine for two buildings was inconvenient. Especially since our refrigerator wasn't even big enough to hold ice. Also, the a/c unit was ridiculously loud at night making it almost impossible to sleep.

Great Value!

We were SO impressed with Vacasa's response to the couple of minor issues (internet needed to be reset, for example). You can rent this room with confidence knowing that the staff will bend over backwards to make sure you have an enjoyable vacation. Response time was on point at well! Location is great. You are a short walk from the beach. Access to everything was superb. You don't even need to carry around a room key. One less thing to lose! Room was clean. We had read a previous review indicating that the room was dirty, and even planned ahead by bringing our own supplies and bed linens. I'm happy to report that if this WAS a problem, it's NOT anymore! Realize, however, that everything you own will be covered in sand once you return from your first trip to the beach. The only negative feedback I would have is that the hide-a-bed sofa is uncomfortable for adults, but our three-year-old slept on it like a baby. The HOA should stagger check-in/check-out times. Elevators are slow and luggage carts are hard to come by during peak times. I have no doubt that these issues will be dealt with as this management company knows how to make people happy! Overall we loved our stay in the Luau!

Great Unit!

Stayed with husband, 17 and 13 year old children. Unit was clean and well stocked for us to be comfortable. Gave the listing a 4 star because it said the pull out couch was broken and there was a blow up mattress but the pull out worked just fine and we didn't find a blow up. Luckily we took and extra blow up just in case! This unit faces East so super for evening shade. Only problem is it looks out over parking lot and there are these huge LOUD fans going 24-7 from an adjacent property. Even though this is on the 12th floor, you can still hear loud and clear. We were gone most of the day everyday, but it's not something you want to listen to if your sliding door is open or you want to stand out on the balcony. Balcony is very very tight, no furniture but standing out looking at the view is fun (just not the loud fans). Great view by the way! Check in and out was flawless, no problems at all. Only thing I may suggest is some kind of welcome packet? We were first timers and had no idea what we could and couldn't use on the property. My 17 year old daughter was dieing to get a golf cart and go around like everyone else, but we never could figure out how to do that. We didn't realize until the last day, you could use the Baytowne Warf area with your parking pass either. Like I said, maybe just a small list of amenities would be good. Still don't know if you can go over to the Hilton??? Walking to the beach is 5 mins tops (with elevator ride). Felt comfortable being able to send kids together back and forth to the beach and downstairs and not worry too much. Pool area was great! Sooo pretty, fun and clean. Tiki Bar and hot tub closed but that's because of Covid. No chairs out, but again, Covid. Overall I would stay here again. Great price, safe area, beach was excellent, plenty of parking, happy people, pool top notch, 2 elevators..... just a great facility!

Really wanted to love it!

Pros: Roomie for 4 people. Good view. Having a Coffee maker, toaster and refrigerator was helpful in the mor have breakfast. Plenty of storage space. Cons: 1. We arrived late and the first thing we had to do was to clean someone else’s fecal matter from the pull-out-couch mattress. I did take a picture of the mattress before cleaning to have it as evidence if asked. 2. One of the reasons we rented a Luau studio was the fitness room, which turned out pretty small. 2 treadmills, 2 weight machines, 1 bike, and an elliptical all in a small room. And these are for the 2 buildings. There are no weights. And no room to move around to do strength training or HIIT. So if you are planning to workout in the fitness room, find somewhere else. 3. The email messages Vacasa had sent clearly indicated the standard checkout time was 11am. Yet at 10am while we were still gathering our stuff, cleaning crew came in and told us to leave. We showed the email message and said we weren’t ready and that would be leaving as soon as we possible. Shortly after another lady came and confronted us rather aggressively. Again we indicated that email clearly said 11am and we were already almost done packing our car and asked her to be patient. She told us that checkout time was revised as 10am 2 years ago. Again we showed her the email we received from Vacasa. Then she asked us to speak with the front office which didn’t exist - if it existed we had no idea where it was. There was no one in Luau 1 that greeted people or checked around. So update your messages. 4. Pool is gorgeous but there isn’t enough loungers or umbrellas to accommodate 2 buildings that are full with people. As a result people get up early and put their towels on the loungers and take the umbrellas even though they are not spending time by the pool yet. Same happens during lunch time or kids nap times. If you go to the pool later in the afternoon, forget about finding a place to sit. 5. There were lack of Instructions about the location of the amenities. There are no signs for fitness room. Vacasa didn’t respond to the message we sent to them to inquire. We were planning to play tennis but couldn’t locate the courts. Again no one was available to ask. 6. 2 elevators for the entire building. There isn’t a separate service elevator for the cleaning crew so be ready to wait for elevator for a long time between 9am and 2pm.

The location was just steps away from the Miramar Beach! Must brag on the bartender at the Tiki Bar @ the Luau! Chase was wonderful, delightful, smile on his face and interaction with all the guest! Not to mention that the drinks were absolutely AMAZING. Very relaxing to come back to the Luau Pool after a day at the beach. Beautiful Facility. We will book the Luau again!
