Mexico Beach is just two miles west of US 98 and there are a couple of places to eat there as well. For additional dining options, you can find some trailers with food at the county line, only one and a half miles away. Downtown Port St. Joe is eight miles away for more dining, shopping, and entertainment. Other must-visit attractions nearby include Gulf County Veterans Memorial Park At Beacon Hill, Cape San Blas Lighthouse, and George Core Park (Lighthouse Park).



This family-friendly escapade provides you with great outdoor living. Host summertime barbecues using the gas grill. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off the sand after a fantastic day at the beach. Loved this nice quiet house that was perfect for us and our dog. Would have given a 5 star rating had the kitchen been better stocked with some essentials. A set of sharp steak knives are very much needed. We had to share the one sharp that was there.

Had no interaction with host other than the maintenance staff stopping by to turn on the water after we arrived. The home was only superficially clean. Lots of short black animal hair on the floor and under furniture. We were there a year ago and some of the issues that were there last year, ie water spots on ceiling, gutters off the home, paint that looked streaked and worn in the bathroom was the same or worse. No upkeep done on the home. The kitchen utensils are lacking, but we knew to bring what we needed. The outdoor furniture is barely hanging on. The bed is very small and the springs in the mattress "clank" when rolling over in the bed. The property just needs some attention and up keep.

Cute and Clean

My husband and I came to Port St. Joe to have a nice relaxing week and this cabin was perfect for it! It's right by plenty of public beach accesses and the cabin upon arrival was very clean. It is the perfect house for a small family.

Small town feel with the accommodations that fit us

We had a great time. Our house had everything we needed and more. The location was just right-close to the beach, but far enough away. Small, adorable towns in every direction. Food trucks, outdoor food and drink, great bbq and seafood. We grilled, had camp fires. If you just want to chill, this is the place!

Loved the house and the yard but th lack of good air cooling was less than desirable. It would have been rough with more people due to unable to shut bedroom or bathroom door

Clean, comfortable

Very clean and comfortable. Nice linens except sheets didn’t fit the mattress. We stayed a month and the lawn didn’t get mowed the entire time even though we complained. Bedroom was hot at times even with the fan on. Overall we liked the house and would consider staying there again, just not in the summer.

Handy location.

The property is located about a quarter mile from the beach which was great. It is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood and we enjoyed the fenced backyard. It is a rental, and needs a little love as it was dinged and a little dirty, but overall it was fine. Not excellent, not beautiful, but fine. The bed is a queen I think but it felt very small, and the box spring had a "clanking" when weight shifted on the bed. We would have loved to have a king bed, and the bedroom was certainly large enough for it. We appreciated the fact that it was pet friendly, and as I said, the fenced backyard. The cons were it needed a fresh coat of paint in the bathroom and bedroom, and the kitchen utensils were not the best. The lack of central heat/cooling made it a bit difficult to regulate the temperature in the bedroom but there is a large ceiling fan to help with that. Overall for us it met our needs which was to enjoy beautiful beaches and escape the frigid Iowa winter for a month. We do plan on going back again next year.
