This beachfront property enjoys a highly desirable location in Gulf Shores, with the center of town less than a mile west. Sea-N-Suds is a quarter-mile down the road, and The Hangout Gulf Shores is just under a mile west. If you head a few miles up Highway 59, you'll find such beloved family-friendly attractions as Waterville USA, the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, and Pirate's Island Adventure Golf. Cleanliness was mediocre. There was a bedspread left in the dryer that was damp, and had apparently been in there for a good while. The odor from it was horrible. However, I communicated with the property manager, and she was quick with reply & solution. Unit was equipped with all that we needed. We had 4 adults, 2 children & 2 toddlers. All said & done, I would stay again.

Just Right

We had a great stay. Everything was as expected. Management responded quickly to any questions and checked in on us periodically. I would definitely stay again.

Gulf-front condo w/ great location, beach access & shared pool/hot tub!

Our family (5 Adults, 5 Children) really enjoyed our stay at the Colonnades #303. There were plenty of rooms/beds to accommodate us. The kids and grandkids really liked the bunk beds and being so close to the beach. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub on-site as well as how the unit is decorated. We would definitely book the Colonnades #303 again!

DOUBLE CHECK

Great unit, definitely needed cleaning before we arrived. Cold A/C. Items for baby, kitchen well stocked, comfy beds and living area. 1 elevator operational for 21 floor bldg, nice beach, pricey $$$$ for accommodations. Parking situation not totally revealed until after reserved and paid for. Nice being near state park away from touristy area! Otherwise, a good family vacation .

Terrible Condo

The Condo was so nasty and we had to buy stuff the clean it up! The appliances didn’t work right and need to be replaced. The furniture was falling apart. Not happy at all this year with our vacation condo.

Wonderful!

Everything was in good order at checkin and during our stay. The kitchen needs grilling utensils, dish cloths, and more bowls, but no complaints. We were impressed with the initial stock of items such as dishwasher tabs, paper towels, and toilet paper, especially since Walmart pickup was so full we had to wait for the following morning to grab our supplies. Sharhonda was great! The condo was still undergoing renovation from Hurricane Sally but we were very pleased with the woman who kept watch on things and you can tell everyone cared about our vacation experience.

Better than pictures

This condo is better than the pictures show. We had five adults and 4 small children and a baby. More than enough space. The building is towards the end so its more quiet and not so busy. The only negative I can come up with is the code entering to get to the pool. I rode the elevator a few times to the wrong floor because the code didn't register.

Dirty and overpriced

Very dirty, unit has been used and abused. Unsturdy furniture,no icemaker, husband had to repair froze up AC unit. Lighting was so bad could barely see in the rooms. Food under couch, food on cookware. Size of unit was great but about it. Most expensive unit we have paid for over the years and was by far the worst. Was so disappointed. The building itself was very nice, our unit 303, not so much. Even the decor was so random and just looked bad. For the price expected 5 star, it was a 2 at best. Stayed at cleaner motel 8's than this place.

Condo

The condo was very clean. The view from the balcony is obstructed by the pool cover. The vacuum did not work and there was no broom so the condo was super sandy by the end of the week. It took maintenance a day to come and fix ice maker and tv. We were playing in the pool at 8:30 pm and 9 (pool closes at 10) and we’re told by security that “owners” had complained the noise was too loud and that since they were “owners” if we “weren’t quiet then we would be escorted off the property.” The children were throwing a ball and not being loud outside of normal pool use. Other than that, the condo was clean and stocked as in the photos.

One short of a dozen

There were six adults and five children. The bedding was very comfortable. However, after the children got too much sand in their bed it was necessary for us to shake the sheets out and that is when I noticed urine stains on the mattress protectors. I then felt the need to check all the beds and wash sheets and mattress covers of those beds with ur ine marks on the mattress protectors. I did not call the agency it made no sense. I will say the beds were extremely comfortable! I meant to find out what type of mattress was on the bed because I'd like to get the same one for my own home. The kitchen was adequately stocked; We brought paper plates paper towels and plastic cups which we used quite often. We did eat in except for a couple of nights. Bahama Bob's is a must for seafood and steak for that matter, Big Mike's is a must for awesome steak and the island wing company has an amazing menu - mahi tacos, the smoked dip appetizer, the loaded fries, the nachos, vegan tacos, wings, hamburgers, and of course the kids chicken dish all of these were wonderful!. Back to the accommodations. The pictures on VRBO make me describe the condo as very photogenic. The pictures make the common area seem wider, or larger, than in reality. However, everything worked out but with kids it would have been nice to have a larger common area. The washer and dryer were superb. And being on the third floor was such a bonus, one of two elevators was not functioning for the entire week. Also being on the third floor meant we could communicate with our group while they were at the pool and still have a beautiful view of the beach. The pier at Gulf State Park is within easy walking distance. The Colonnades are toward the end of Gulf shores which we really enjoyed. I think we would go back if this unit were available. We had a great time! Beware......... if you leave an item Vacasa does let you know that there is a $25 processing fee for shipment. However, what this means is when you call and they charge your account $25 plus tax that they will get around to looking for your item eventually. It has been over 48 hours and they have still not looked for the item although the fee was paid.
