No ice machine that worked

They say they double check everything before we check in. The patio door handle was loose finally came off, No icemaker that worked. They thought the refrigerator had an icemaker and the repair guy said it didn’t. It would be nice if you have a 13 person condo and only two cars and they haven’t un rented property. They let you buy one the parking spot from it.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Enjoyed the condo. Was ideal for our anniversary celebration. We had a few problems with satellite and WiFi but management worked quickly to correct the problems. Would definitely book again for a family get together.

2311 Oasis was fabulous! More than enough room for my entire family. We visit Orange Beach yearly and I will try my best to get the same condo next year. Thank you for a great family trip!

Comfortable

We loved the property and received a discounted rate because of construction. We hope to return next year and won’t mind paying regular price when the construction is complete. The beach was wonderful the condo as well. Excellent security.

Great condo. Very minor issues.

This was a great condo for our group of 12. Plenty of space and the bedroom layout was great. There was only a few small problems like outlets that didnt work, and the icemaker didnt work.

Parking

The condo was great but we were not aware beforehand that we could only have two parking passes-had to purchase the second one but had three cars. Security would not work with us as it was 8:00 in the evening and even though the garage was not full threatened to tow our car.we had to find an overflow parking lot to move the third car the next day. TBecause of the parking situation and the way security treated us, we will not stay at the Colonades again.

Vacation

This condo is absolutely beautiful. Easy check in and check out process. My only complaint is there was never enough hot water for everyone to shower and the dryer took several rounds to dry or towels.

Very Nice

The condo was all we could want. One small issue was we had unexpected guests... Cockroaches. We also were not told that the dining room lights were not working. We handled the unexpected guests.

Extremely dissatisfied

On arrival right off we reported several broken appliances and furniture. Pictures and description of condo deceiving. No pool and hot available during our 2 week stay. Damage done to our car by construction workers. Cockroaches in our condo . Construction from5:30am until 6 pm every day except Sundays . Repairman at condo 3 days to fix broken dryer. Was promised compensation by condo manager and HOA, received none and neither office

Lack of sufficient parking

The day before our arrival I was told that there was only parking available for one car. A second parking pass was available for $63 for 4 nights. My son with an infant, who arrived last, was in a third car. They had to park their car 2 miles away. I spoke to property managers and requested another parking pass, for pay, of course. It was denied. Every night we walked around the parking area and there were several parking spots unused. I spoke to the manager again to ask if a special consideration would be allowed since there were spots available and was again denied. Had I known when I reserved the condo, that only one parking spot came with the 4 bedroom condo, I would NOT have rented it. I have never had this problem before for the last 20 years of visiting Gulf Shores. A very frustrating experience!

Awesome condo!

We loved the windows! The balcony was wonderful! it was the perfect condo for our family trip! Ages 17 to 89 all had a wonderful time. Close to the water, and not far from the state park pier for fishing. Beds were all comfortable. We look forward to staying again.

Very nice condo

The views were amazing. The condo was very clean and spacious. I would suggest a rocking chair to help those with babies. My 3 month old loves rocking to sleep so without a rocking chair, it was a little more difficult but we managed. The code to the door was turned off the day we checked out BEFORE our check out time. Thankfully, someone was in the condo to let my dad in after he packed the vehicle. King bed in back bedroom was squeaky. Construction going on next door could be heard throughout the day but wasn’t too disturbing.

Girls Trip 2022

Description was spot on! Very clean, very quiet, plenty of room. We had 10 ladies. Beds were so comfortable. Had everything we needed. The dryer took a very long time to dry clothes. I did make a phone call but was told it was a new dryer. Yes it was, and it did heat, but the clothes took all day to dry. The view was outstanding. We will return.

Great Vacation-Parking Info

Pros: As a family vacation we ALL had a great time being together and the location was great. The listing was accurate and better than we expected. There was a problem with the AC keeping it cool enough. After a phone call to Alabama Getaway and an AC serviceman that knew what to check, it was taken care of quickly by changing out the outside unit. Cons: After reading through the rental agreement a couple of times it reads as follows: Alabama Getaway will charge you for one parking pass with your reservation unless more parking passes are requested by you (GUEST). Each development has a restriction on the number of parking passes allowed during different seasons. Please contact Alabama Getaway if you need more than 2 parking passes as alternative parking arrangements may be necessary during busy seasons. I really don't like to complain but want to state this as a learning experience to keep someone else from having to go through what I did. I stated when I made my reservation there would be a need for 3 parking passes. I realize the issue if 6 or 7 vehicles show up for one condo (I really do). I received at least one email and 3 text asking the repetitive question about how many passes I needed 3 days before arrival. As other beach areas I have visited through the years, I assumed this would be similar. Provided parking across the street or shuttles to and from the parking lot location. However, I was informed that I would have to make/find my own. The closest one I could find was 8 miles away for $175.00 for 7 days and not secured and no transportation provided for return. I may have been able to find something closer if I had known sooner. I just feel that Alabama Getaway should make it clear that more than 2 vehicles during peak seasons is the guest responsibility. I would also like to give a BIG shout out to Angie, the security person. She is awesome and was very, very helpful and friendly with a great sense of humor. We were always greeted with a big smile and a friendly wave. She knows the area very well and answered any question we had about the area.
