So pleased you enjoyed your stay. We put the hot tub location in our description on our listing and also have a map and diagram on the refrigerator. I do the same thing and don’t look through everything but we’re glad you found it. We always ask our guest to call us or let us know if they have difficulty finding anything using anything or just need assistance or have forgotten something. We weren’t aware that the power had been off. Obviously it was off for a short time and was back on when you arrived. If the power cycles in and off it requires the hot tub be reset. We ask that you let us know if you have any issues. If yiu dint then we wont discover it until we clean fir tge bext guests.

Our description of the property and the amenities tells the guest what to expect, but apparently these folks didn’t read them. The air conditioners that we have has a note. We bought one for each room and they are evaporative coolers if you put water and I send them they will cool the room that you’re in. We also tell the guest how to manage. The house is heating and cooling. It is a passive heating and cooling home. In the summer, you need to close the thermal curtains before noon when the sun swings around and shines in through a complete bank of windows and sliding glass doors. If you don’t, it will get very warm in the house. The outside temperatures get to the low to mid 80s for about an hour and a half and the afternoon between 130 and 230. After that it drops quickly into the 70s each night it’s in the 50s so for cooling when you when the sun is no longer directly on the bank of Windows and sliding glass doors if you open them and leave the screens in place the house cools down quickly. The front yard is always in the shade and so it is always a lower temperature in the summer. It’s always cool. Our listing states that we do not offer laundry facilities to the guest. We do, however, offered to do laundry for people that are staying more than two days for a small fee. Our policy for bath towels and towels and washcloths is that we replaced those every other day unless guest request them every day. We have been in a drought situation as most of you have probably seen the fires out west. It’s serious. Many places are restricting water usage and we ask that guest reuse their towels very dry in the mountains and they dry quickly. This is also the request of most hotels, even if they aren’t in a drought that the guest we use their towels. We will provide towels every day for a small additional fee if every other day doesn’t work for the guest. We have 350 acres as part of our offering with trails included. We have a small fenced front yard and we do mow that but outside of the house we do not mow the fields and pastures that are around us. The balconies with the glass panels for the and railings are installed properly. They were installed by the previous owner and have been there since 2010. We have never had an issue with them and no guests have ever expressed a concern. For those of you considering booking our lodge, please be aware of these things and please read our descriptions. We want our guest to be happy and satisfied and not be surprised with anything when they arrive.
