We began hosting to share this retreat with others. Our guests tell us that they didn't know how badly they needed to escape the hustle and bustle for awhile until they came. They relaxed, re-connected with their family and loved ones, playing games, talking, and hiking. Some even say it changed their lives as they had time to stop, think, and talk about what was important to them and make plans for the future. We are inclusive and welcome everyone to come and enjoy our ranch.
Growing up in a rural farming community (Joyce) I learned a deep respect and responsibility for the land. We consider ourselves stewards of this wonderful place and offer choices to our guests to participate.
- recycle
- use 'paperless' paper towels and cloth napkins instead of single use paper products.
- - Traditional products – paper towels, napkins – are provided so the choice is yours.
- add to our compost.
- purchasing foodstuffs from our neighbors such as organic free-range eggs, honey, and organic greenhouse vegetables.
- Grocery delivery, and home cooked meals are available for a fee from one of our neighbors.
We want to assist our mountain community by providing opportunities for the community to serve you with (very) local choices and suppliers. If you are interested we will provide additional information, pricing and scheduling of these services.
