Spacious retreat on the Rim of the Royal Gorge

This cozy retreat is perched on the rim of the Royal Gorge, overlooking America's highest suspension bridge. Watch the sunset over the Sangre de Cristo mountains from this 1,500 square foot house positioned high above the Arkansas River.

Your group or family can spread out in the three bedrooms, two baths, and enjoy the large fireplace, panoramic views, open dining area, and secluded outdoor patio. A full kitchen is at your disposal with included spices, coffee, tea and sugar. A propane BBQ grill is available right outside the kitchen door.

Guest access
The lodge is located outside of the Bridge attraction so guests are free to come and go as they please.
Check-in is inside the Visitor Center.
Guests receive free admission to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park during their stay.
After hours check-in is at the Ranger post at the North end of the Visitor Center.

Extensive hiking and biking trails are a short walk from the house. There is ample parking.

Dogs are welcome. Pet fee applies if you have more than 2.
Do not leave dogs unattended inside or outside the house. Be aware that the area has cactus!
Please pick up and dispose of waste.

Wifi is available, however this is a remote location and some US carriers do not have sufficient coverage is this area. AT&T and Verizon work best here. Other carriers, specifically T-Mobile, do not.

What a wonderful location. Could not have been more relaxing. Accommodations were better than advertised. Staff at the Gorge were very helpful (and the food at the cafe was really good). Recommend going offseason. We had the whole canyon to ourselves, except for the deer we said hi to every morning out our front door.

This was one of the best stays I have ever had. The views, the cabin, the access to the park. This is the perfect getaway. This felt like a home, a beautiful log cabin with everything you could need. Very clean and plenty of room

The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook wonderful meals. Nice air fryer was an added touch. It was great that it was pet friendly. One of the most spectacular stays we have ever had. Cannot top the views. I have no words to describe the beauty. The place was super clean and beautiful. It had everything we needed and then some. Stay couldn't have been any better. We HIGHLY recommend.

Rim of Royal Gorge home is amazing! We are an active family, and we could sit and look at the incredible view, out the windows and sitting in the chairs in the deck, all day long! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A One-of-a-Kind Experience

This place is absolutely incredible. Pics don't do it justice. You are the ONLY house within the Royal Gorge. And the view is simply spectacular. There is TONS of space in the common area which was great for our group. The kitchen was fully stocked and beyond (loved the tea and coffee setup :). Probably the best communication and hospitality from any VRBO host I've ever had. Gail went out of her way to make sure our stay was memorable and the rangers that we worked with to get access to the house were so kind and accommodating. We can't wait to book again!

Adult Sibling Vacay!

We selected this lodge for our stay and were not disappointed. The views are fantastic, the wildlife was amazing, and the location could not be beat. Three siblings and spouses, total of six guests, staying for 5 days. We used the Lodge as our home base as we explored the area. It was everything we needed and more. The home was clean and comfortable. Could have used a few more kitchen items but we made it work just fine. I highly recommend this to all.

Everything was amazing. The property is stunning! A minor hiccup at check-in and the host was immediately responsive and rectified it! We stay at a LOT of VRBOs and this one ranks up with the best! Communication, cleanliness, LOCATION - all perfect!

Breathtaking views, open floor plan

Family trip to Royal Gorge. Loved being able to walk to the gorge from the house. Outside deck is awesome, full wall of windows provide great views of the Royal Gorge. Kitchen is well stocked!! Would definitely go back and highly recommend

Would definitely stay there again. My only complaint was the lack of a communication channel to resolve questions regarding the property. One othe issue, the closets in the master bedroom(carpeted room) were locked and there was no place to hang clothes in this room.

Beautiful views, very special stay

It was beautiful and spacious, one of the most special and unique stays. The fireplace is huge and really nice. The windows are amazing. Very impressed. A bonus that it is pet friendly and we could bring our dog along. This is actually owned by the Royal Gorge and the only property within the park - makes you feel like a VIP! You get free entrance into the park. Stayed here with my family for my husband's 30th birthday and enjoyed ziplining, via ferrata, the train, and more. Definitely reccommend.
