Boasting a furnished deck to enjoy a morning coffee on, a private gas grill, a wonderful sunroom, and plenty of space for the whole family, this retreat has no lack of ways to soak up some rays. The open layout of the kitchen, dining area, and living room will be perfect for mingling and entertaining after a day spent on the sand, so take advantage of the stainless steel appliances and breakfast bar seating to whip up a tasty meal for the whole gang. Slip into relaxation mode in no time when you kick back on the sofa or one of the plush recliners as a movie plays on the flatscreen TV. Each of the three bedrooms are all on one level as well, so those with limited mobility will have no problem calling Turtle Cove home. Not to mention, the pups don't have to stay home on this trip, as this home is dog-friendly!

Great experience!

This was a great place for a nice get away. The private beach and friendly neighbors really just made it perfect. This is definitely the place to be if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of summer vacationers.

Beautiful beach house in quiet neighborhood

The beach house was lovely - clean and very comfortable. The location was excellent. It was in a quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. It was also a short drive to the ferry and the bird sanctuary. We had a wonderful visit and would like to return at another time.

Loved every moment

We had a great time and this home was perfect. It was a short enjoyable walk to the private beach. There were games available in the unit for evening fun. The kitchen was stocked and every aspect was smooth. We also loved the covered parking on site. I highly recommend this rental.

Us and our dogs

It was a good stay, we arrived to the island early, hoping for an early checkin, ended up not getting in until 415 due to cleaning staff. The house was in good order, the area to the dog pen/run was great! The side deck has a couple spots where a small animal/child could get stuck or fall thru if not warned/monitored. The back (north) closed in porch with AC was beautiful. Bed was comfortable. The shower unit in the master bath was standard, but could be enlarged/improved. Could honestly use a few “beach extras” to minimize renters packing… We have stayed in this gated community previously, we love the area & the island!

Super nice community and uncrowded beach

We absolutely loved our stay here from the moment of checking in to the moment of checking out everything was made very easy and efficient! This house is absolutely beautiful and the beaches are so peaceful and uncrowded! The only thing that could have made it more perfect would it had been oceanfront. It was a little bit of a stroll with 4 kids and all the beach items but we made do! We will definitely be back!

Great week stay

Tips: get groceries and other medical supplies at Greer’s before hitting the island. There are not many restaurants on the island, so be prepared for a wait if you’re wanting to eat out. House was in a great location. I enjoyed hearing the frogs at night.

Nice getaway

The house is beautiful and well kept. It is a close bike ride/walk to pool and beach. I never got a response to questions from management while on vacation, nor could I ever get them on the phone.

Island House getaway

Overall we enjoyed our stay in this house. It was cute and spacious. The bed was fairly comfortable. The back sunroom is a nice feature. There were plenty of cooking items and dishes. No hair dryer. We liked the ceramic tile in some of the house. Good location on the island. Probably would not choose to stay here again for several reasons. The gated community is well maintained however our street ran open in the back to an apartment complex with access into the development by walking across the grass so not a gated community really. One evening several teens came across the neighboring house backyard and were messing around with the house. We heard them talking about the possibility of security cameras so they continued into the development and went on down to the private beach within our community. Upon their return they messed around behind our house in the dunes before going back to the apartments. Maintenance at this house was disappointing. Several ceiling lights were burned out including one in the kitchen ceiling fan. One sink stopper in the master was broken and a tub stopper was pulled out and laying in the tub. The rugs in the master bath were a matted mess with long strings everywhere on the floor and tracked in the bed. All of the windows that we tried to open stuck except 2. Bedrooms had gross stains on the carpet which were numerous and had obviously been there for sometime. I called to let management know we were reporting them upon arrival. Air conditioner did not work well. This house was an expensive rental and we felt like it should have been better maintained. The Roku was awful. Poor reception with lots of buffering.

1st Time Dauphin Island…it’s great!

Fantastic stay on Dauphin Island. Property was extremely clean and well kept. Short walk to the pool, and just a bit further to the beach. Brought bikes and worked out great! Vacasa was easy to work with and responsive to requests. Thanks!
