Aaron, Stephanie, and our four boys are from Central Texas, where we work as professionals and operate our cattle ranch. We’ve spent much of our lives exploring the New Mexico and Colorado mountains — enjoying elk and mule deer hunting, fishing, snow skiing, and all the outdoors have to offer.

This cabin is our little base camp to the Rockies and everything the high country has to offer. We’re thrilled to share this special place with you and hope it becomes your favorite mountain getaway too!

We live and work on our cattle ranch in Central Texas, where the summers are blazing hot. Escaping to the cool, fresh air of the New Mexico and Colorado Rockies has always been our favorite family tradition.

When we first started looking for a mountain cabin, we visited Pagosa Springs but found it a bit too busy and commercial for our taste. On the drive home we happened to pass through Chama — and we were instantly charmed.

The towering pines, the quiet beauty, the smell of the forest, and the sound of the wind whispering through the trees immediately won us over. The cool mountain air and peaceful small-town feel felt like home. We didn’t look any further.

This cabin in the Ponderosa area quickly became our family’s favorite base camp, and we’re excited to share it with you.

Located on a spacious, wooded hillside in the Ponderosa area, it offers beautiful mountain views and all the authentic charm of the Colorado-New Mexico high country — whispering pines, fresh air, and peaceful surroundings. At the same time, it delivers modern conveniences with all-new stainless steel appliances, furnishings, and thoughtful updates throughout.

We believe this cabin gives you the best of both worlds: a true mountain getaway that feels classy, comfortable, and convenient.
