The Space:

The perfect all-season adventure retreat, this two-bedroom condo is located in the sought-after Northstar resort community, boasting endless recreation and entertainment. Enjoy access to the Northstar recreation center amenities, which include tennis courts, basketball courts, a fitness center, a sauna, a hot tub, a seasonal lap pool, and an open grill area next to a beautiful creek surrounded by pine, fir, and aspen trees. (Site rentals include the use of three picnic tables and up to two gas BBQ grills with grilling utensils.) There is a $10 daily fee per person for use of the facilities, payable directly at the Recreation Center upon entry.



The spacious living area offers lots of room to unwind. Tall ceilings soar above a comfy sitting area furnished with comfy seating, a smart TV, and a wrap-around fireplace. Whip up home-cooked meals in the kitchen, fitted with ample counter space, well-stocked cabinetry, and a full suite of stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. The six-seater table sets the stage for family meals and game nights. Relaxing woodland views await on the covered balcony.



Both bedrooms are located on the entry-level. The serene primary bedroom has a TV, a balcony, and a stylish en suite bathroom. The guest bedroom has access to a second full bath is in the entry-level hallway. A half-bath is located upstairs for household use. Additional perks include complimentary WiFi and a washer/dryer.



Pack your ski gear (or rent on-site) and discover world-class wintertime fun on Northstar's iconic slopes. A short drive from Lake Tahoe, you can spend summer days sprawled out on the shore at Kings Beach or dine at a lakeside restaurant. The local area also offers opportunities for horseback riding, mountain biking, and golfing within a short drive. Hop on the free shuttle to Village at Northstar, offering skiing, dining, shopping, a theater, ice/roller skating, and a mountain bike park. Discover numerous nearby golf courses, including the manicured fairways of Northstar Golf Course.

Nice place that could have been much better with a little attention to the details that make a stay easier. Here are a few items that could easily be addressed: 1. The main point is that when we arrived the access code to the parking lot gate was a surprise to us. There was no mention of a gate or the access code in the emailed instructions on how to access the property. We had to make a couple calls to get into the parking lot. When we called the property management company, they had no idea that there was a gate. Finally, Northstar's management company shared their code. 2. There is a Keurig coffee machine but no pods provided for the first morning. We are fine buying our own but it would be nice not to either let us know to bring our own K-cups or have a couple complimentary K-cups before we have to go to the store. 3. There is no hot water kettle (minor point).

Having a couple of K-cups ready for your first morning is a thoughtful touch we can definitely work on.
