3-room chalet, first floor, approx. 45 m². Covered entryway leading into a living/sleeping area with 2 fold-out beds, a dining area (corner bench and 3 chairs), and a kitchenette with a built-in stove (3 burners, oven), refrigerator, coffee maker, and electric kettle. 2 twin-bed rooms. Shower/toilet.

Located on the outskirts of Saas-Balen, picturesquely situated along the Vispe stream and the cross-country ski trail (on the other side of the stream). The vacation village consists of a total of 24 chalets and the reception building. The stop for the free PostBus is located directly above the vacation chalets on Saastalstraße. Saas-Balen, with shopping and a restaurant, is about 400 m away; Saas-Grund, with a wider range of amenities and a modern gondola to the Hohsaas ski area, is 3 km away; and the upscale resort town of Saas-Fee (paid parking) is 8 km away. The nearest town, Visp—with outdoor pools, an indoor pool, and other recreational activities—is 20 km away.
Each chalet has its own parking space, an outdoor seating area with furniture, and some lawn or grassy area. Internet access is available only at the central reception building and in its lounge.
The small chalets are generally well-suited for vacations, functionally furnished, and appropriately equipped; they also feel quite cozy thanks to the abundance of wood. PVC flooring; carpeted floors in the bedrooms. Cable TV (including German channels) is available.
Non-smoking property!

Saas Valley: This charming valley, well worth a visit, is home to the well-known vacation destinations of Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund, Saas-Almagell, and, of course, the sophisticated Saas-Fee. For many decades, it has been a hub for winter and summer sports in Switzerland. The three smaller towns of Balen, Grund, and Almagell are located in the valley and, thanks to their two very sunny ski areas (the Hohsaas ski area in Saas-Grund, reaching an altitude of 2,400 m, 35 km of slopes, as well as the Saas-Almagell ski area, also reaching an altitude of 2,400 m, 13 km of slopes), a continuous cross-country ski trail, and numerous (winter) hiking trails and mountain bike routes connecting the villages and the Mattmark Reservoir, they offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy a peaceful yet varied and active vacation here throughout both winter and summer.
Ideal for guests is the direct connection between all three villages via a free postal bus to Saas-Fee (valid only for holders of a Saastalcard, which is provided to our guests), taking you straight up to Saas-Fee. This means you can essentially leave your car parked during your vacation. See below for more information on the Saastalcard.

SAAS-FEE: This world-famous resort, with its impressive glaciers, lies in a small valley basin at an elevation of 1,800 meters and is surrounded by 13 four-thousand-meter peaks, including such well-known mountains as the Dom, Alphubel, Nadelhorn, Täschorn, and Allalin. The entire town of Saas-Fee is car-free and can only be accessed on foot or by electric taxi. At the entrance to the town, a huge, multi-story parking terminal (for a fee) offers ample parking.

The ski resort is remarkable and is used as a training camp, especially by many national ski teams; this is because Saas-Fee is, alongside Zermatt, the only year-round ski resort (reduced to the glacier ski area in summer) in Switzerland. While the lifts in the valley are more suitable for beginners, over 20 lifts (gondolas, chairlifts, and T-bar lifts) serve approximately 100 km of downhill runs up to an altitude of 3,600 m; higher up, red and black runs predominate and are a real treat, especially for experienced skiers.
Cross-country skiing: a 6-km high-altitude trail in Saas-Fee and a 26-km cross-country trail in the valley between Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund, and Saas-Almagell.
Other activities: numerous ski and snowboard schools, a cross-country skiing school, a ski kindergarten, a toboggan run, indoor tennis courts, snowshoe hikes, natural ice rinks, curling, and curling on ice.
