The Space:

Conveniently located in El Prado, this private home away from home offers the perfect home base for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation with your family and friends while still giving you numerous adventuring options. This splendid retreat is only steps away from Mesa Trail access and within a short drive of restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, and great attractions, including Millicent Rogers Museum, Ktaos Solar Center, Taos Art Museum At Fechin House, Kit Carson Park, Downtown Taos Historic District, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, Sipapu Ski & Summer Resort, Angel Fire Resort, and Red River Ski & Summer Area. On the subject of skiing, local skiing options are nearby for those who aren't up to going to a resort to explore the slopes.



The fully enclosed yard is a wonderful private oasis where you will find a bubbly hot tub, beautiful mountain views, an outdoor dining area, and a gas grill - this is the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors while still being at home! Upon entering this fabulous home away from home, you will discover a beautifully appointed interior with a classic New Mexico design. The welcoming living area invites you to spread out comfortably and stream entertaining movies and shows on the smart TV - there is a cozy seating area by the fireplace where you can snuggle up and create everlasting memories with your loved ones. Adjacent to the living area is the well-appointed kitchen, complete with all the essentials. The home also enjoys a welcoming sunroom that opens to the backyard. There are two main bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom. One of the bathrooms features a claw foot tub and a stacked washer/dryer.

Great location, house was very accommodating. The master bathroom did not have hot water though. Hot tub was very nice. And you can’t bet the view!! Loved our stay.

Best of Angel Fire

AF is mountain bike heaven and this is my favorite place to stay for it. Amazing views of the mountain, minutes to the lift, tons of room, big open kitchen and huge grill for large groups. Host is very attentive. Will stay here every time.

Fantastic property for the dollar.

Spacious modern ski cabin with all the amenities. We had a fantastic time. Spectacular views from the back deck, and only a mile and a half from the Angel Fire Resort. Breath taking place, really.

Perfect mountain getaway

The space to stretch out, the open floor plan to accommodate a large group in one space easily. THE VIEW!!!! The proximity to the resort. Everything is perfect for a mountain getaway for bikes in the summer, and I'm sure skiing in the winter without the cost and crowds of some more heavily trafficked places. Can't wait to get back to AF, will definitely book Sunrise Vista Villa again.

Exceptional VRBO

Stayed with daughter's & granddaughter's families for interment of my husband at the cemetery at Angel Fire. It was perfect; everything we could have wanted (besides food) furnished. Enough dishes, bowls, & any other supplies furnished. Clean, comfortable, plenty of seating for all of us + friends, amazing scenery, entertainment by the prairie dogs(!), and -- bonus -- view of the Angel Fire memorial from the back of the house. I couldn't have been more pleased. Having been at other VRBOs, this beat them by a mile.

Adorable and clean

The house was very cute and clean. Plenty of clean towels and the bedrooms were very clean. We all thought the beds were comfy. We loved the mudroom and outside deck in the back. We also liked that we could bring along our dog with us and there was plenty of room for her to run around. There was a dog bed she used that was there as well as some dog bowls. We liked that it was located right before turning into Angel Fire off the highway (if you’re coming from Taos) and was conveniently close to Angel Fire supermarket and Eagle Nest Lake. Would stay here again!

Favorite home we have rented

Wow, what an incredible trip and I am just so glad I picked this house. It was perfect. When we walked in I was blown away by how well maintained and clean it was. I almost felt guilty for bringing my two toddlers to such a beautiful home. Walking onto the back porch was breathtaking. The porch over looks the valley with no obstruction and just miles of gorgeous views. The kitchen was well stocked and even had children plates and bowls. Can't recommend this home enough and have zero feedback, they have thought of everything.
