Tucked away on 5 acres of splendor in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Southwest Virginia, this picturesque 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath custom built home boasts the most intimate and unobstructed view of the iconic Buffalo Mountain in Floyd County. Minutes from Buffalo Mountain Preserve, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Floyd there’s no shortage of attractions and activities close by. Buffalo Bliss is a spectacular hidden gem, well worth the drive into the country!
The large master bath provides a modern spa tub for soaking and relaxing, under a transom window for additional light. The walk-in shower is artistically hand laid with river stones collected by your co-host Chris during his 1-year RV trip across the country. The toilet includes a heated bidet seat for extra comfort. Bath bombs and all the bathroom essentials including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, towels, wash cloths, and lotion are available for use to guests.
Bliss also provides an additional half bath as well as a mudroom with washer and dryer, additional storage, complimentary pet bowls, dog crate, and dog bed. And not to worry if you need basic supplies such as groceries or beverages. Even though we’re a little off the beaten path, the Willis Village Mart is only 6 minutes away and sells never frozen local meats and fish, local farm fresh eggs, local produce, and a healthy selection of beer and wine.
We strive to make your stay as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
There is an automatic gate at the entrance that should remain closed at all times. A remote control for the gate will be supplied at the time of check-in. Full instructions for retrieving the remote will be provided once your booking is confirmed.
The main entrance to Bliss has a keypad lock. The entrance code will be provided a few days prior to check-in.
The driveway to Bliss is approximately 1 mile from the main paved road and this section is gravel. Although it is well maintained, there may be some ruts and washout after a heavy rain.
Co-host Chris lives in the house up the hill from Bliss. He is available any time for assistance or to answer questions. Chris and Rosalie sometimes enjoy a fire in his fire pit, watching the sunset on nice spring, summer, and fall nights. Chris and Rosalie also take walks around the ponds. Guests may be welcome to join them.
