Mrs. Hippie Inn- Bluffside Suite near the Mississippi River in Alma, Wisconsin

Our 1883 building is located across from the Mississippi River with great views of eagles overhead and the Alma bluff. The Bluffside Suite on the second floor features two queen size beds and full time access to the Mrs. Hippie "Lounge". Kitchen stocked with the essentials, coffeemaker, microwave, griddle, and a private deck and terrace. We are the closest STR to the lock with excellent views, a truly premiere location in Alma, a couple block walk to shops, fishing, bars and restaurants. Danzinger Vineyard and Buena Vista Park are a couple miles away. Guests always receive a 10% discount in our antique shop on the first floor.

We had a wonderful stay! The town is truly picture-perfect-charming. The property itself was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully set up, making it an easy, relax stay. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property. Mike the host is great!

Do you need a quaint, quiet, spot to spead the night! Mrs.Hippy has a place for you. Quiet town of Alma, WI. Resturants within walking distance, boutique to vist. You would enjoy this place. Great couple ownership, friendly and compassionate.

The room was clean. The deck and backyard was a little sketchy, not quite what I had in mind. The owner lives downstairs so he was available but also we felt like we were being watched the whole time. If you've never been in this area it's nice to know there is a very active train track right across the road so lots of train noise. If you plan to go early in the week keep in mind it's a little town so many of the businesses are closed until later in the week.

Thank you for your feedback Cassie. We agree with you the back deck and patio need work, it's definitely on the to-do list! We've spent the first few months getting the shop up and running on the main floor, but we hope to address multiple long neglected areas of the building in the coming months. Our first energies were focused on making the rooms comfortable with new linens and towels and upgrading some of the amenities. I was cleaning the unit next to yours which may have given the impression you were being "watched"... and because i was up there working I messaged out of curiosity about smelling something coming from your room. I know vaping and smoking aren't the same thing, but after finding the Vape cartridge under the couch cushions in your unit, it did confirm that something happened in your unit that we would not allow. We will try to be much clearer in our description and House Rules in the future. It was definitely a learning experience. It's still here if you want it back. Thanks again! Mike
