The property was perfectly suitable for our needs, with all the comforts of home. Our hosts were as helpful and hospitable as we could have hoped for - they even left a box of donuts by the door one morning! They made us feel special. A thoroughly pleasant experience. Thank you Lynne and Hugh!

C'est magnifique! I traveled from Nashville to visit family in Lafayette. Excellent location in River Ranch community of Lafayette. Luxury high-end touches and comfort at its best! Each bedroom had private bathrooms, great shampoo & conditioner, huge plus The kitchen appliances are great for cooks- 6 burner gas-top and convection oven (I would have liked better equipped kitchen cause I like to cook but all the basics are there). Spacious refrigerator. I like to shop at the local grocery store Albertsons for the best local Louisiana foods! Whole Foods also nearby, too. A Fresh Market too! Make sure to visit the Fresh Pickins Farmers market on Kaliste Saloom to find the best Creole tomatoes, fresh produce, boudin and Cajun products. Search out Hebert's specialty meats store for stuffed chicken with jambalaya, boudin, etouffee, "real" cajun andouille sausage, Tasso ham, and so much more! Best gift shop Caroline's. We took a trip to the Tabasco plant (where they make the hot sauce) on Avery Island - be sure to visit the Jungle garden next door - good hiking or driving with parking to soak in the swampy wild life & scenery, Historic giant Buddha on site with history plaque. We saw egrets, and small alligator sunning on the bank of the pond, too! We be a great place for a long stay and explore Cajun culture in Louisiana. Make sure to visit Acadian village- historic and great way to see where the French Canadians settled and lived and became Cajuns in the swamp land.

What a great review! Glad you appreciated the high-end touches and comfort of our place. That's what we strive for, especially with the beds. Your recommendations of places to visit in the area are really helpful. We hope other guests enjoy this vibrant, fun part of Louisiana as much as you did!

Hi, we're Lynne and Hugh. Hugh was born and raised in Louisiana while Lynne is originally from Canada. We love living in the Lafayette area. It has so much to offer with its vibrant culture, amazing cuisine and friendly people. We think there is no place like it! Being a host is special to us. We enjoy making people happy and one way to do that is by giving them an amazing hosting experience!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

River Ranch is one of, if not THE, most sought after neighborhoods in the Lafayette area. We live here ourselves and get to experience the amazing convenience, walkability of everything!.

この宿泊施設の特徴

We have a number of other properties and you know what guests tell us time and again? What makes our places special are the attention to detail. They always mention the beds as being the most luxurious they've ever stayed in. That's important to us. We want them to have the best night's sleep so they'll come back! They also tell us they find us very warm, welcoming and communicative. We like to give our guests little extras like special coffee, gift coupons, taste of local cuisine or even wine in some cases. We want it to be an experience for them!
