A comfortable, rustic vacation home in a fantastic location

Surrounded by the beautiful, magical Waldviertel region lies the Friedlhof, founded around 1853. This magnificent gem was brought back to life in 2010. <br>It is the combination of nature right on your doorstep and idyllic tranquility that allows you to shake off the stress, noise, and ever-increasing pace of life here.<br>The rolling hills and light-filled forests invite you to hike, bike, cross-country ski, and ride horses.<br>In the summer, you can go swimming at the nearby Frauenwieserteich (approx. 3.2 km away) and, with a fishing license, even catch a fish.<br>Winter offers opportunities for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, and even downhill skiing (a 300-meter slope in Liebenau, 4 km away) is available. Child-friendly slopes can be found in the immediate vicinity, and there are rental shops for bicycles and skis in Langschlag and Liebenau.<br>We’ve gone to great lengths to ensure you feel at home in our rustic guesthouse. It features a covered patio with an electric grill, a small kitchen with a dishwasher, a coffee maker (Senseo Phillips pods), a toaster, a kettle, a stove, a microwave, and all the necessary kitchenware.<br>The sitting area is a cozy spot to eat, read, play, and watch TV. A bathroom with a shower completes the lower level.<br>A staircase leads to the upper floor, where you’ll find a double bed and two single beds. No traffic noise will disturb your well-deserved sleep here.<br>In addition to the wonderful nature you can enjoy here, there are also many different places to visit.<br>The Arbesbach Bear Forest, the Lagosol Restaurant, the Nordwald Nature Park (with a petting zoo), and the source of the Kamp River are all very close by. <br>In Gmünd and Bad Zell (each about 30 minutes away), there are thermal baths with saunas and swimming areas. Gmünd itself, as well as Zwettl, Weitra, and Freistadt, are great places to stroll around.<br>The Ottenstein Reservoir, Rapottenstein Castle, and Zwettl Abbey are just a few of the many other places to visit. <br>The nearest supermarket is 5 km away. <br>Pets are welcome (starting at 30,- per stay) and can be booked at the time of reservation or notified via message.
