Make yourself at home at this two-story retreat and start an unforgettable Lake Michigan getaway! Jacobia Lakefront Retreat is all about comfort, relaxation, and unique amenities that will make your stay as breezy as possible - you won't have to worry about anything here. Featuring plenty of outdoor living space, your stress will melt away the second you step inside this family-friendly abode. You'll have one furnished deck on each floor. The first-floor deck is the ideal place to lounge after mealtime as it comes equipped with a set of comfortable seats and even a hammock and the second-level deck features the main outdoor dining space plus unbelievable Lake Michigan views. Inside, this convenient home away from home features a well-equipped kitchen with all the cooking essentials to whip up anything from full-course meals to quick snacks, a private washer/dryer so you and your crew won't have to worry about finding a laundromat or carrying a bag of change with you at all times, and a well-furnished living area with a smart TV with cable. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. This location was great. The house was perfect. They have nice perks for the lake. Kayak, lawn chairs, beach towels, deck and more. So many areas to entertain. Plus a giant fire pit area for smores. We loved it, but our dogs loved it more.

Property: great. Host team: awful.Direct lake access down a wooden path and stairs — only a left-hand rail. —Property: great. Chairs, umbrellas, a trunk of life vests, plus a paddleboard and kayaks were all there for guests.The house sits in a wooded area with a metal cauldron type fire pit. Both a gas and charcoal grill is available for use as well. Saint Joseph is about 15 minutes away for Restaurants , cafes and wineries or breweries along the way. Not handicap accessible — multiple steps to get in. The second floor has a big, well-stocked kitchen and a great lake view from the deck. The place has real character, not cookie-cutter.AT&T has zero coverage here, which made it harder to reach the host when we hit an access-code problem.The house is excellent. Booking through Vrbo and dealing with Vue Stay was a disaster. Agents wouldn’t even introduce themselves by name, so we couldn’t tell if we were talking to one person or five. They ignored prior messages and blew off specific questions.House: thumbs up. Vue Stay: thumbs down.

My husband and I have stayed at quite a few vacation rentals and this one was BY FAR the most fully stocked with every possible amenity. My favorite was the inflatable chairs for relaxing on the water! We HIGHLY recommend this property!

The downstairs is ideal for parents, kids, and even their friends, thanks to a spacious bunk room that comfortably sleeps six. Upstairs, a cozy bedroom with a private en suite makes a great retreat for in-laws or another couple if you're sharing the space. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views and a wide beach that offers plenty of spots beyond the sand to relax and take it all in. Everything about our stay was perfect—we’ll definitely be back!

Quiet beach retreat

Great views, quiet surroundings and easy beach access made for a peaceful weekend away. We appreciated the beach chairs, towels and toys available to use - less to plan and pack! House was clean and the kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals.
