Bayfront home with gorgeous water views, dock, outdoor patio, fireplace

Find a spectacular bayfront setting and some of the best duck and goose hunting in the world at this brand-new home on the shores of Bowdoinham. Bright, open, and airy, this classically Maine home boasts beautiful views of the water, a sun-splashed patio, and backyard, and shared access to a dock where you can launch kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards come summer. Wake up to the morning light streaming through plentiful windows, and spend your evenings cooking in the spacious kitchen and cozying up around the gas fireplace.

This modern, light-filled home sits two lots down from L.L. Bean's original cabin on the shores of Merrymeeting Bay. When you escape to this confluence of the Abagadasset, Androscoggin, Cathance, Eastern, Kennebec, and Muddy Rivers, you can launch a boat from the dock in Bowdoinham two miles north, visit Bowdoin College with ease seven miles south, or explore the maritime history of Bath 13 miles south.

We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Acadia Lights Cabin and that it was clean. We will be sure to give our housekeeping crew that compliment. The cabin is ideally located quietly away from the busy parts but easy to drive to them and enjoy all the area has to view for sure. We hope you come see us again real soon.

良かった点 : ロケーション
Very peaceful with a wonderful view of the water. We loved watching the tides come and go. Saw many animals during g our stay. Fox, eagles, osprey, ground hogs, deer, squirrels, feral cat, were outstanding!! Weather was cool so we didnt stay outside much. Glad we brought 2 extra lawn chairs for visitor use inside. We were comfortable and close to our relatives so we were able to visit often either at their place or at the rental.

Last year we stayed in the smaller cabin and enjoyed it ,this year the larger home was available so we booked it ...on several occasions vehicles would just randomly drive down to the property and just drive thru and exit some as early as 4 am ,a little concerning when awakened by loud exhaust ..other than that it was a great stay ...Definitely booking again

Great location!

We stayed during what was likely the hottest day of any year in Maine and the temperature outside was 99F, but the house was cool and comfortable. During our stay we say foxes, groundhogs, deer, and moose! It was very quiet and peaceful.

Nice home in a lovely setting

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and inviting. I agree there could have been more seating options, but it was perfect for my family of 4. The kids loooooved the tree swing. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful house with a gorgeous view of the bay

Clean, comfortable and cozy. Amazing sunrise views across the bay and abundant wildlife including bear, deer, eagles and coyote sightings. Didn’t even mind having to shovel the sidewalk to the entrance as it is winter in Maine. Would definitely stay again.

We loved this home with its gorgeous views. We rented kayaks for our stay. As others said, the road going in was difficult to maneuver with a car that is low to the ground. We definitely would stay here again.

Lovely Stay

The home was very clean. The location was very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay. The only issue is the upstairs is an open loft and the noise travels also if there are more than 2 in your group there is not really comfortable seating in the living room, there is only a couch which worked fine for 2 people but if there are more there is no comfortable seating in the living room.

Relaxing getaway

Beautiful and relaxing getaway. Wonderful for families and couples! Note to families of young children: there are no blinds in the house which makes for late to bed, early to rise toddlers! But the swimming in the backyard makes up for it!

Relaxing by the bay

The property was very nice and well equipped for a group of four. As others have mentioned, screens to keep out bugs and blinds for privacy and to keep out light would be very much appreciated. The property would also be enhanced with more outdoor furniture.
