In Højer stands Northern Europe's tallest Dutch windmill, built in 1857, with a museum about the history of mills and the cultural and natural history of the marsh in the Tønder. From the mill you can look directly onto the Wadden Sea and overlook the whole marsh.

In addition, excursions to Møgeltønder with Schackenburg Castle, to Tondern and the Wadden Sea National Park offer varied daily destinations, with different features on the program for each season.
