Cosy holiday apartment on the Dordogne.



Here, on the ground floor of this great old house, is this holiday apartment, which is the perfect base for your active holiday in France.

A short walk and you are in the town of Vitrac with its restaurants, cafés and many small shops.



You are also just a stone's throw away from the Dordogne, which is very popular with canoeists and anglers.



The large beach at the Vitrac bridge is ideal for swimming, canoeing and fishing.



Vitrac is a charming little village where you can discover the ruins of a medieval castle and a small church from the 12th century on a hill.



Montfort lies between Vitrac and Carsac and is famous for its castle, which sits majestically on a rock above the Dordogne.



You can also admire the picturesque landscape of the Cingle de Montfort, a bend in the river.

Lovely gite in the heart of the Dordogne

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week in Vitrac. Sadly the inclement weather meant that we couldn't enjoy the gites outside patio area as much as we'd have liked - it's equipped with barbecue, sun loungers, a dining tabe, and a very comfortable occasional table and chairs too. Inside the gite is very comfortable - the pictures on VRBO do not do it justice. It has a new, compact kitchenette that's well equipped, a dining area for four guests and comfortable seating area too. The beds were so comfortable that . one day I slept until 08:45 and the Egyptian cotton towels were gorgeous! Finally, Jagoda and David are excellent hosts. The gite is ideally placed for visits to Sarlat, Domme (which you can walk to in just over an hour), Roche de Gageac, Beynac and for canoeing down the river. So, there's lots to do and, afterwards, a very comfortable home to retire to for the evening.

we arrived after dark and the owner, David was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again.

Maison parfaite pour visiter le Périgord Noir

Un seul bemol : maison en bordure d’une route départementale passante. Bruit de fond des véhicules perceptible dans la maison et surtout sur la terrasse. Sinon, tout est parfait et les hôtes sont très accueillants.
