First off the place didn’t have any internet/WIFI and the host didn’t let us know that before hand so we were not prepared for that. Second we were the first guests to stay there so you would think it would be clean. It was not. Cobwebs all over the ceiling and around the chair legs, around the toilets etc.. there were no pans to cook with. No glasses to drink from. The silverware drawer was very dirty so we had to wash everything we used before we could use it. The porch had 2 inches of gnats all over. We had to ask for a bigger garbage can since one wasn’t provided. The washing machine stunk and had mold all over the inside. When we stay at a house we expect to have the equipment a house has. Dishes, WiFi, etc.. the beds were comfortable and clean that’s the only good thing I have to say about that. The host was very nice when I did contact them but couldn’t help us with much. We had lost power due to a storm and it had been hours before the host got back to me about which power company they had. By that time I had already figured it out myself. I’m sure all of this is due to not having experience in renting out a house but at least make sure it’s clean has a place for garbage and stay in contact with your guests easier. Like I said she was very nice but lacked a lot of experience.
