Detached 50 m² summerhouse at Sct. Knudsborg has two bedrooms, a fitted kitchen, fibre Wi-Fi, and private parking. The sea-facing terrace overlooks the lawns and Båring Vig and the Little Belt.
Private beach with direct access. Power, water and CO₂-neutral district heating included. Sleeps 4.

Summerhouse 12H is your own detached cottage at Sct. Knudsborg — 50 m² of quiet, with the
wide lawns out front and Båring Vig beyond. Inside: open lounge with sofa and dining table for 4, fitted kitchen with electric hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Moccamaster filter
coffee, kettle. Two bedrooms (one double, one bunk for two) and a full bathroom with shower. The terrace has garden furniture.

The cottage and its terrace are yours. The 25.000 m² natural plot, the shared lawn down to the beach and the private beach steps are shared with other guests. Dedicated parking is next to the cottage.
Direct line to Martin, the owner, at any time.

Martin lives here — about 4 minutes from your cottage on foot. He`s on call throughout your
stay for questions, local recommendations, or help.

Sct. Knudsborg sits on the north coast of Funen, overlooking Båring Vig and the Little Belt. The private beach is just a few steps from the cottage.
Brenderup village (4 km) has a bakery and grocery stores.
Middelfart and the Little Belt bridges are 18 km. Odense, Funen`s capital, Hans Christian Andersen`s birthplace, is 28 km away.
Quiet, coastal, and a 120-minute drive from Copenhagen via the bridges.

A car is the easiest way to explore the area — free private parking comes with the cottage. Brenderup village (4 km) is a short drive or a 30-minute walk; from there, regional buses run to Middelfart and Odense. The beach is in front via metal steps. Coastal cycle paths and walking routes start at the property boundary.

Bring your own sheets, duvet covers and towels — duvets and pillows are provided. No microwave in this cottage. Power, water and heating are all included.
On Saturdays, the main building 12A occasionally
hosts private events with music in the early evening.
Pets are not allowed in this cottage.

Hi, I'm Martin. I live with my family right next door to Sct. Knudsborg.
Before settling here, I sailed as a dual-ship officer with A.P. Møller-Mærsk, then for nearly a decade as Chief Engineer on private superyachts, cruising the world several times. After a stretch building villa complexes and resorts in Indonesia, Turkey and France, I came home to Funen in 2018 and took on Sct. Knudsborg.
What I love most about being a host is the quiet exchange: someone steps onto our terrace at the end of a long drive, sees the lawns roll down to Båring Vig, and breathes out. That moment is why we do this.
You'll meet me around the estate most days. If you need anything — recommendations, a hand with luggage — message me, and I'll be there in a few minutes.

What we love about this corner of Denmark: it's far enough from the cities to feel like a real escape, but close enough that everything is reachable. Brenderup village (4 km) has the local bakery and grocery store. Middelfart and the Little Belt bridges are 18 km along the coast. Odense — Hans Christian Andersen's birthplace and the largest city on Funen are 28 km away.
We get a lot of guests who come for the panoramic sea views and stay because of the lawn. The 25,000m² stretches all the way down to the beach, with quiet places to sit. In summer, the light here is extraordinary. In winter, the storms roll in across the Belt, and the cottages stay warm with CO₂-neutral district heating from our neighbouring farm.
It's not a tourist hot spot. That's the point.

Three things set Sct. Knudsborg apart from a typical holiday rental:
You get the whole estate, not just a flat. The 25,000 m² grounds — lawns, the private beach steps — are shared with at most a few other guests. There's no neighbouring road, no village high street, no other rental clusters. Just sea, sky, and lawn.
Cottage 12H itself. A detached 50 m² summerhouse with its own front door, its own parking, and a sea-facing terrace with an outdoor grill. Two bedrooms, fitted kitchen with electric hob, oven, dishwasher, and Moccamaster filter coffee. Wi-Fi is fibre. (No microwave in this cottage.) Pets are not allowed.
An owner who is actually here. If you can't find the bakery, if you just want a quick recommendation for the day — I'm a few minutes away. That's a real difference from rentals, where everything goes through an offshore call centre.
The main building (12A) is used a few Saturdays a year for private celebrations.
