Carolina Dream is a charming Hatteras Island beach cottage in the heart of the Outer Banks, blending classic coastal character with modern southern charm. Custom built by local Hatteras craftsmen, this cozy OBX getaway is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy island life.

Located on a quiet street in the desirable Tri-Villages area, guests can easily walk to the beach, local market, and nearby restaurants. Enjoy beautiful beach access just minutes away along with everything Salvo, Waves, and Rodanthe have to offer.

Carolina Dream comfortably sleeps 6 guests with:

-2 queen bedrooms
-a spacious sleeping loft
-2 full bathrooms with deep soaking tubs

The private primary suite features:

-Avocado queen bed
-smart TV
-direct access to a private deck

The second bedroom offers beautiful natural light, Avocado queen bed, and smart TV access. A charming ship’s ladder leads to the loft sleeping area, creating a fun and relaxing coastal retreat with island views.

The fully equipped kitchen includes quality cookware, dishes, and everything needed for family meals or beach snacks after a day in the sun. The open living area offers cable TV, WiFi, and comfortable seating for relaxing evenings together.

Outside, guests can enjoy:

We are a family of four and absolutely loved the accommodations. Everyone had roomEnough to be, but close enough to be together, share our meals and lounge on the couch. Our daughter LOVED the loft area. Even though it is a walk to the beach people along the way are kind and welcoming. Aside from Salvo, if open to travel, I would also take the time to head south and hit Cape Point in Buxton. Excellent for shelling, shallow and softer ocean. Of course north to Nags Head is very tourist and activity heavy too. Again, if you want intimate and refined, this is the house for you, the decks were perfect to wake up and end your days. ThankYou Rose for excellent accommodations!

Loved our stay, the perfect beach house!! We spent 3 nights and regretted having not planned a longer trip! It’s in a great location just a short walk to the beach, and also walking distance to ice cream, a market, and more. Rose was an amazing host, she made the check in/out process very smooth and is so sweet! I was very impressed with how clean the home was as well, I would definitely recommend booking here with Rose for your next trip, 10/10 experience! My favorite space was the screen porch!

Ever since reading Nicholas Sparks books years ago, I dreamed of owning a beach house in the Outer Banks. There was always something magical about the quiet coastal towns, the slower pace, the salty air, and the feeling of escaping real life for a while.

When we found Carolina Dream on Hatteras Island, it felt exactly like the cozy OBX getaway we had always imagined with peaceful mornings, long beach days, sunset skies, and evenings spent relaxing on the porch after the beach.

We created Carolina Dream to feel warm, welcoming, comfortable & the kind of place where you can truly unplug, recharge, and make memories with the people you love.

Whether you’re here for beach days, fishing, family time, or simply a quiet escape by the ocean, we hope you fall in love with the Outer Banks the same way we did.
