Adorable and comfortable place conveniently located between Frankfort and Louisville. This pet friendly location was perfect for our needs of exploring the area and visiting a few of the local distilleries for our anniversary. We really enjoyed the lake views from the deck and the comfort of the lodgings.

The host doesn't share reviews to the public on VRBO, which I find disconcerting. Upon arrival the property wasn't readily available. Dirty, stained bed linens, dirty bathroom towels, trash in garage cans were found and nothing had been wiped down or sanitized from previous visitors. Kitchen appliances and cookware were dirty, which in turn we had to go buy simple items we needed to cook with, which created another inconvenience of time and money. There was a strong odor of animal smell throughout the entire house. I contacted the host and while she did get someone out to address the cleaning concerns, there was no further communication or incentive for the huge inconvenience this caused us on our first night. All we received were generic messages that VRBO generated as protocol. We decided to stay and not waste the money we already spent, although I would never rent this property or from this host again. First impressions mean a lot and in turn we were very disappointed in the lack of response, inconvenience, and entire experience.

A clean, great place for a quiet get-a-way. Launching a kayak would be a challenge from the small dock down the steps, but the marina is 15 minutes on the other side of the lake. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. and not the 4:00 p.m. on the website. I never did see where the firewood was. But on the whole, a nice, clean, quiet, up-to-date venue.
