TL1206 | Mountain Condo | Pool | Hot Tubs | Winter Shuttles

Trappeur's Lodge at Trappeur's Crossing Resort sits just one and a half blocks from the base of Steamboat Ski Resort; there's a paved walkway that takes you directly from the building to the gondola, and to dining, shopping, and nightlife along the new base area promenade.

This complex has many wonderful amenities, including outdoor and indoor heated pools, multiple hot tubs, tennis courts, a sauna, a fitness facility, an outdoor fire ring, an outdoor kitchen with grills, and a heated underground parking garage - so you don't have to worry about cleaning the snow off your car! There's also a private shuttle (in winter) that can take you back and forth from the base of the ski resort, to the grocery store, or into downtown Steamboat Springs for shopping and dining later in the evening. You can definitely get away without having a rental car in this location!

This three-bedroom, three-bathroom condo has a living room with a gas fireplace, a flatscreen TV, a DVD player, and a leather couch and chairs. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare a great meal for family and friends, and the dining area features both a kitchen table and additional bar seating. At night, the primary bedroom has a queen bed, a flatscreen TV, and an attached full bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a flatscreen TV, and the third bedroom features full-size bunks, a flatscreen TV, and an attached full bathroom. The living room also has a sleeper sofa for additional accommodations.

There's a separate ski storage locker in the entry area and shared laundry facilities in the building. This condo is a great option for families who want all the conveniences and amenities of a resort property in a great location just a short walk from the ski resort.

Perfect location

It was an easy check in and so close to the mountain that we walked to and from the slopes! Definitely recommend as it comes with extra amenities, including a shuttle to/from dinner at various locations, hot tubs, etc.

Great property! We loved the slope side happy hour. what a fun treat! Internet connection was poor. we had to use hot spots because we also didn't have cell service. fans worked great to cool condo down at night. wish the kitchen had some basic cooking things in it. We had to pay $10 for a teeny bottle of olive oil at the expensive grocery down the street because we made the assumption the house would have cooking oil. All minor and really loved our stay here! It was perfect.

Not worth cost

Property is in poor repair, tack strips from carpet are exposed. No cookie sheet in the kitchen or pancake turner (spatula). Faucet won't work properly in the kitchen. We were walked in on by property management a day before check out, the cleaner seemed to think we were checking out that day. Key stopped working in 24 hrs for one key.

Emily, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologize for the issues you faced that kept you from fully enjoying your stay. We shared your comments with the local manager, who assured us the carpet is scheduled to be replaced and an inventory of the kitchen supplies was conducted to replace any missing items. The kitchen faucet is operating as it should, but it is a new touchless faucet and operates slightly differently than a standard faucet. Our guests' privacy is of the utmost importance to us and we deeply regret the experience you encountered. This concern was addressed with the appropriate parties and the entire key system is being replaced to prevent future occurrences from happening. We hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a much-improved experience in the future.

Great weekend stay

Overall was a great house. Plenty of sleeping places, nice area, wonderful pool/lounge area. A couple of things that weren’t great: HDMI cord was broken so the DVD player couldn’t work and the room with the double beds doesn’t have windows so that room got extremely hot at night so it was miserable to sleep in.

We wish we would have known about this issue during your stay as we would have been glad to bring another one out to you. Travelers Lodge 1206

The property was a little smaller than expected, but comfortable and well stocked with necessities. The decor should be updated. We saw other units that were nicely updated. Maybe get rid of the brown carpet and the paint red wall a neutral color at the least. We were dissatisfied that the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was broken. That should have been disclosed. Lastly, we saw several other guests walking around the pool/hot tub area with nice white robes from their rooms. It would have been great to have those. The owner was easy to communicate with, and the preparation for check-in was timely and easy. We enjoyed the shuttle service; It was very convenient and comfortable. I’ll definitely be back to the Steamboat area.

I would highly recommend anyone staying in this beautiful and clean condo! My only minor complaint was how temperamental the key cards were getting into the underground parking area. We obtained new keys from the front desk on our second day and they still did not work but overall a great stay and I can’t wait to come back to Steamboat and hopefully stay here This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Great location and perfect space for a small family getaway

The property was great! Clean, and the staff was helpful. The location was also a good spot, trails were within walking distance as well as some restaurants. My only complaint was that the smoke detector went off 2 nights in a row. But the maintenance team was quick to come to the condo to check it out.
