Cozy Condo on the Shuttle Route w/ Patio, Fireplace, WiFi, 2 Shared Hot Tubs

If you're looking for a newer condo with all the upgrades, one that's priced a little more reasonably than those right at the base of Steamboat Ski Resort, The Pines at Ore House is a great option. This complex is situated one mile from the base of the ski resort, right on the route of the free shuttle bus that stops by every 10 minutes and runs late into the evening. As locals, we use this same shuttle to go skiing and head into downtown Steamboat Springs for dining and nightlife. You'll be within walking distance of the grocery stores, several restaurants, and discounted ski and snowboard rentals at Ski Haus, with an outdoor gazebo, two shared hot tubs, and heated changing rooms on the grounds to welcome you back home.

The condo is cozy and comfortable, offering a living room with a suede sectional couch, a river rock gas fireplace, and a large flatscreen TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to create a great meal, and the small dining table provides seating for four (with additional seats at the bar). There's a spacious patio with a gas grill and chairs. The main bedroom has a king bed and an attached bathroom and closet, the second bedroom has a queen bed, and the second full bathroom is in the hallway. There's also a sleeper sofa in the living room if you need a bit more space.

Great location to mountain and town

Bus service to town and ski slopes is a plus. Steps away from supermarkets and a short drive (less than 5 minutes) to the town.

A great weekend getaway

We had a great time going up with some friends. The location was perfect, super close to bus routes and town. Only complaint is the hot water ran out when multiple people had to shower but still a great stay

Great place, great location!

2 minute walk to the bus stop, with regular service to both the mountain and town. Local grocery stores and restaurants also walking distance - no car needed. The condo is ground floor and had everything we needed.

Fun At The Boat...

All and all, very happy with our stay and the place. Easy access to the bus and needed services - park your can and enjoy. Only downside was the hot tubs didn't work... would have enjoyed a nice soak after a long day of skiing

Great location

We had a great experience. The only thing I could recommend would be explaining the bus routes more clearly. We were able to walk to most places that were necessary. We just had difficulty trying to figure out the bus stops and system to get around

Did the trick

The unit was nice. A little cluttered for the size of the unit. Not as close to the slopes as I would have liked, but very conveniently located to the grocery store. The hot tubs were only opened from 9am to 9pm so it would have been nice if they were open longer in case you did some night skiing which ends at 9pm. Overall, the unit was okay.

Good time

Overall the condo was nice and had what we needed. The second bedroom is pretty small and there is not much room to move around. The ceiling fan made a big difference in cooling things down, unfortunately the larger room did not have a ceiling fan and it was stuffy during the night. TV’s are nice to have but we lost our satellite connection for over 24 hours in the smaller room. With only a couch in the living room, people had to sit on kitchen chairs to watch TV and visit.

Cozy & Convenient

Property was clean and well appointed. It could have been an outstanding property if Vacasa had explained the use of floor heating, if the refrigerator had water & ice that worked and if their support had been responsive. When I first got in contact with them the agent hung up on me. Then it took 5 days to get a return email regarding the lockbox code. We never did get to use the keys.

Great location near slopes

We stayed in this condo for a five day ski trip. The location is great, only a five minute drive to the slopes and parking, and shuttles right outside the complex. We cooked in a few nights and Safeway is right around the corner. It’s also a short drive to the charming western downtown. The condo was clean and sufficient for a ski week. We did find some kitchen utensils less than clean, so I would recommend to at least rinse them off before using. Unfortunately Vacasa did not provide us with a code to get in to the jacuzzi area, and they never gave it to us even after a lengthy phone call with a representative who had no knowledge of our area or property. Fortunately we came across other renters who gave us the code. So make sure you get the code from Vacasa before your trip if taking a jacuzzi is your thing (good luck with that!)Overall a pleasant stay otherwise.

Arkies in Steamboat

Location was great, close to things but not in the middle of them. Accommodations was very comfortable, great bed, condo was well stocked with all you need. Easy access from parking lot. Very secure, no issues with locks, doors etc. Host provided information in a timely manner and checked with us about cleanliness as we arrived. All appliances were in great shape and worked well. Area was quiet and parking was great and close. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I and my roommate really enjoyed our VRBO Condo. It was close to our rental at SKI HAUS and to excellent restaurant OREHAUS and to Safeway Supermarket. Bus stop was close as stated. Only issue we had was how turn on TV. Their were 3 remotes of which two seemed to have no function. We finally figured out how to watch Cable TV.
