I grew up in the Kansas City area on the Kansas side, so Branson was always the family vacation spot. It was close to home and every year my father, market reporter for the Drovers Telegram, made a business trip to West Plains, Missouri for the Annual Feeder Pig Show. So my dad always took the family after to Branson and Silver Dollar City for a few days.

Branson was also a fun spot for my mother, she was born and raised in Marshfield Missouri (Northeast a few miles) and went to college in Springfield at Drury College. On weekends she and her friends would hang out in Downtown Branson dancing on the sawdust floor at Sammy Lane’s on Taneycomo Lake. She was actually dancing at Sammy Lane’s on Dec 7, 1941, when they all learned that Pearl Harbor had been attacked. After I grew up, we went to Branson quite a bit for summer vacations and weekend getaways. Silver Dollar City and the 76 Highway strip was a great escape and we enjoyed the old fashioned, “old school” waterslides as well as Waltzing Waters and enjoying the lake life. Once my oldest daughter graduated, she got her first job in Branson at the The Mansion Theater for the Performing Arts, and has since worked on many of the stages in Branson in the past 20 years. She is living in Branson just down the road from the Landing. Our trips to Branson, and all the fun entertainment venues in town have become an important part of our families lives. We now enjoy spending time with our toddler Branson native Granddaughter. We recently moved to Florida to enjoy retirement in the sunshine with less cold weather. Regardless, our lovely family keeps us grounded in Branson and Missouri, and now we spend many of the holidays in Branson. So you see it was only a natural part of our lives and family to have our own property in Branson, Missouri as I feel it is in our blood. We love Branson, even though we don't live there year round, we want to share our lovely Branson home with all of you. I hope you enjoy.
