We like hosting because every guest has a different story, and we love being a small part of someone’s visit. Our goal is simple: provide a clean, cozy, welcoming stay with a little personality, a little sparkle, and hopefully no reason for you to call us unless you need something.

We chose this neighborhood because we live nearby and quickly learned it has the perfect balance: quiet enough to relax, but close enough to everything that you won’t need to pack a lunch just to run an errand.
It’s minutes from shopping, food, entertainment, and local spots around Cedar Rapids — which is great, because nobody wants to spend half their trip saying, “Are we there yet?” Around here, you get a comfortable neighborhood feel with easy access to the places you actually came to visit.
What we enjoy most is that it feels like home: convenient, friendly, and close to just about everything without being right in the middle of all the noise.

Other than the glitter — which definitely likes to introduce itself first — this home is special because it was once the family home of a close friend.
When we took it on, we didn’t want to strip away its personality or turn it into something it was never meant to be. We wanted to keep the warmth, charm, and memories just the way he remembered them, while adding a few updates and upgrades to make it comfortable for today’s guests.
The original hardwood floors, mid-century character, cozy layout, and family-home feel all tell a story. This isn’t a cookie-cutter stay or a place that feels like it was decorated by a committee with one beige paint sample. It has history, heart, and just enough sparkle to remind you not to take life too seriously.
What makes it unique is simple: it feels like a real home — because it has always been one.
