Whether you’re seeking a romantic escape, a quiet personal retreat, or a gathering place for friends, enjoy your cabin high above the beautiful town of Black Mountain.
Your cozy one-bedroom cabin has everything you need for comfort and calm, with a private porch overlooking one of the best views in the region.
Step out onto your private porch, suspended among the trees and take-in the long-range mountain views sitting 4,000 feet above the sea. From this high-elevation perch, you’ll feel completely immersed in the forest canopy—
Featuring a great diversity of birds (91 species recorded), we have the Audubon society’s distinction of Important Bird Area--“one of the most significant examples of high elevation forest and natural communities in the southern Appalachians.”
The cabin is part of the Black Mountain Stomping Grounds, a private sanctuary bordering conservation land. Though it feels like worlds away, you are only 15 minutes from downtown Black Mountain, where you can experience fine dining, galleries, concerts, and immerse yourself in an outdoor sports haven—a rare balance of wild solitude and mountain-town charm.

This property was exactly as listed. The views were stunning. The cabin was quaint and very clean. The property was very quiet and other guests were respectful. The gravel road was well maintained. Just as a heads up, it is a true mountain road. There is sometimes only enough space for one car. That being said in the 3 days we were there, we did not have to pass another car on the gravel road. We had a wonderful time.

The Lookout was perfect!

I stayed in the Lookout cabin at the Black Mountain Stomping Grounds in June while mountain biking for 4 days in the surrounding area with friends. My friends stayed in the Falcon cabin. All of us greatly appreciated the design, quality, cleanliness, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail that went into each of our cabins. The cabins were equipped with absolutely everything we needed, and the entire site was peaceful and beautiful. I am an adventure traveler and recommend this to my fellow adventurers. Staying here was a wonderful experience, I wouldn't hesitate to return for another stay. 5/5

Founded in 2025, our focus is on mental and physical renewal through the peace of nature and physical therapy services offered on site. This a new and growing adventure we plan to add an indoor music hall, wellness center, sauna, and hot tubs in the near future.

One King sized bed and private bathroom with shower. Linens and fluffy cotton towels provided. We have a mini fridge, microwave, and Coffee Station in the kitchenette. Amazing long-range mountain views from your private porch.
