Now, during the pre-Christmas season:
The vacation rental is centrally located for visiting the Christmas markets in Oberhausen, Duisburg, Mülheim, or Essen. The Essen Christmas market, in particular, is worth a visit—it was voted one of the top 10 internationally last year.
In March/April, you can admire the blossoms of our approximately 170-year-old magnolia tree from the bedroom windows.
About 300 meters away is an avenue lined with Japanese cherry trees, where you can admire the blossoms from around mid-April through mid-May.
From late April through mid-May, the wisteria blooms by our house, transforming the rooftop terrace into a fragrant floral paradise.
The apartment is conveniently located near Oberhausen’s attractions, such as the Centro, Rudolf-Weber Arena, Gasometer, Sealife, Aquapark, Legoland, and the Top-Golf facility. Duisburg is home to the zoo with its dolphinarium and the “Weiße Flotte,” which offers a sightseeing cruise through what was once the world’s largest inland port. Bottrop attracts visitors with an indoor ski hall. In Mülheim, there is an 18-hole golf course, the Mülheim-Styrum natural swimming pool, and a horse racing track. Essen attracts visitors with the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, and in Bochum, you can go “underground” at the exhibition mine or gaze at the stars at the planetarium.
The Düsseldorf Trade Fair is about 30 km away, and the Essen Trade Fair is 16 km away.
