The Main-Tauber district is considered one of the most beautiful vacation destinations in Germany. This is partly because the region offers one tourist highlight after another. An ideal vacation destination—whether for cyclists, hikers, wine lovers, or families with children. A delight for young and old alike. Tucked away on the outskirts of Bad Mergentheim, our “Natur Campingplatz Bad Mergentheim” is idyllically surrounded by trees. Our very quiet, approximately 2.7-hectare, level campground (280 m above sea level) is nonetheless very centrally located. With the wildlife park right next door, the neighboring town of Markelsheim with its historic wine culture, the Romantic Road, and the international spa town of Bad Mergentheim itself (approx. 2.5 km away), our campground is an excellent starting point for exploring any destination in the lovely Tauber Valley. After many years of inactivity, the campground was brought back to life in July 2020 by the operators “Silvago24” from Stuttgart and painstakingly restored. In addition to the 120 campsites, five additional lodging options were built, including a mobile home, a barrel-shaped cabin, apartments, and a vacation home. With pitch sizes of up to 10 m x 8 m, we’ve made sure to accommodate even larger and longer RVs. In addition, new lines for internet, TV, and fresh water were installed throughout the entire campground in early 2021. Rounded out by our two restroom facilities, a children’s adventure playground, a beer garden, a small kiosk, and a covered lounge with a TV, the campground offers everything needed for a relaxing stay for campers, cyclists, hikers, and families with children.
Our “Fauler Kater” apartment consists of two separate rooms accessed via a shared hallway. Each room is equipped with two beds, a TV, a mini-refrigerator, and an electric kettle. Each room has its own bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as a private balcony overlooking the campground and the adjacent forests. Up to four people can enjoy a wonderful, comfortable vacation here. Thanks to the layout of the units, the apartment is ideal for families or a small group of friends.
