Local History
The property sits on land once belonging to historic Royal Oak Farms, a nationally known boxwood nursery operated by the Wassum family. After World War II, Charles S. Wassum Jr. developed portions of the family farm into the quiet residential neighborhoods that surround the home today while helping preserve much of Southwest Virginia's natural beauty.
The Wassum family's legacy can still be seen throughout Marion, including the historic Royal Oak Apartment House and the iconic Lincoln Theatre downtown.
Good to Know
We believe in being transparent so there are no surprises.
