Palm Orchard Cabana - 3 Minute Walk to Sand - Perfect for Families
Welcome to Palm Orchard Cabana!
Our beautifully renovated 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath coastal cabana has an open floor plan, sleeps 8 people, and is a three minute walk from the beach. Our family-friendly cabana includes two balconies, a private courtyard, and a 1-car garage. We hope you love the Cabana and Carolina Beach as much as we do!
The cabana is fully renovated with coastal finishes, an open floor plan, and luxury vinyl plank flooring. Each bedroom is a true private suite with its own full bathroom.
The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped for real cooking. It includes a drip and Keurig pod coffee maker, a blender, a hand mixer, and a toaster. The smart home setup includes smart TVs, high-speed WiFi, a smart lock and thermostat, and a Ring doorbell. An in-unit washer and dryer means you can pack light and leave with clean clothes.
Outdoor space is one of the cabana’s best features. The king suite has its own private patio off the bedroom where you can catch a peek of the ocean, and there is a patio off the main living space where you can relax under the bistro lights. Out back, the fenced courtyard includes a Weber propane grill, a hose to wash off the sand, and enough space for a game of cornhole. The 1-car garage (which houses an extra refrigerator/freezer!) and private driveway spot keep your cars shaded and your beach gear organized — a genuine luxury in Carolina Beach in July.
The cabana is a three-minute walk from two public beach access points: Periwinkle and Clamshell. You can also walk to the Carolina Beach Pier or grab one of our two cruiser bikes and ride to the Boardwalk for fireworks, donuts, or carnival rides in minutes. Freeman Park is nearby too, where you can drive your own 4x4 vehicle directly onto the beach — one of the things that makes Carolina Beach genuinely special compared to other NC beach towns.
It’s a three-minute walk to the sand, and we’ve packed the gear so you don’t have to:
• Beach chairs, umbrella, wagon & cooler • Boogie boards • Cornhole for the courtyard • Pack-n-play & high chair for families
Carolina Beach is a classic, unpretentious beach town — boardwalk, fresh seafood, summer fireworks, and that rare small-town beach energy that’s getting harder to find. Laid-back enough to truly unwind, lively enough to keep everyone entertained all week.
Traveling with a dog? Small pups under 25 lbs are welcome with prior approval. The fenced courtyard is perfect for them — a $75 pet fee applies.

We're Courtenay and Nate — we live in California, but our hearts (and our family) are in Wilmington. We rack up serious frequent flyer miles making the trip back and forth, and Carolina Beach is always the destination that makes it worth it.
There's something about this stretch of coast that pulls us back every time: the wide, uncrowded beach, the low-key Boardwalk energy on a summer night, the seafood shacks where everybody's in flip-flops. It's the kind of place where the pace just slows down the second you cross the bridge.
We fell for Carolina Beach on our own family visits — evening walks on Lake Park's boardwalk, kayaking out of the state park, watching the sunset from the pier. Now we get to share that same spot with you. We've poured that same care into Palm Orchard Cabana, so you can make your own memories here, whether that's an anniversary trip, a family reunion, or just a long weekend to unwind.
We may not be local year-round, but we're only a flight away — and we're always happy to help make your stay feel like home.

Carolina Beach hits that sweet spot between lively and laid-back. You're steps from a wide, uncrowded stretch of Atlantic coastline, but you're also a short golf cart ride from the Boardwalk — arcade games, mini golf, ice cream stands, and a Friday-night energy that makes it easy to see why families keep coming back year after year.
It's a walkable town. Lake Park, the marina, local seafood shacks, and coffee spots are all within easy reach, so you don't need to hop in the car for every errand. Freeman Park at the north end is a favorite for beach driving and bonfires, and Carolina Beach State Park offers hiking trails and kayak launches if you want a change of pace from the sand.
It's also genuinely pet-friendly and low-key — no high-rise crowds, no traffic jams, just a small-town beach feel with everything you need close by.
