Not worth it.
While Alexsandra was responsive, she kept changing her mind about check-in/ extra payment for another night. During check-in, the keys were in a different box (with a different code) than what she texted us. We had tried to go through the VRBO app to book extra night, no response. She asked us to bring cash, but changed her mind after we checked in -- she wanted a bank transfer. Since we don't have a Portugal bank account, no bank allows that. We wasted our last morning in Porto trying. For this VERY noisy location, shutters are a must. The bedroom shutters were broken: the bedrooms were LOUD and LIGHT. Alexsandra promised someone would fix them. That did not happen. Our sleeps were terrible for the entire week's stay. The pictures make the apartment look much nicer than it is. The second bathroom is tiny, so poorly designed that it's impossible to shower without getting water all over the floor. Be aware: There is NO OVEN, only a stovetop. There were no instructions for the stove or the washing machine. Lots of back and forth texting to try to understand use. Also no instructions for throwing out garbage/ recycling. Every other VRBO we've stayed at has some sort of instruction booklet. Alexsandra did text recommendations for local restaurants and grocery stores. She also had her son bring over a gift basket, which we appreciated as well.
