Marvelous newly renovated 4-bedroom house in McHenry, RV hookup, 50 amp for EV

Welcome to The House of Plaid, a cozy four-bedroom retreat minutes from Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort. Unwind in the private hot tub, gather around the firepit, or enjoy games in two separate living spaces. With two full bathrooms, a spacious yard, multiple decks, an electric fireplace, and beautiful Garrett County sunsets, there’s room for everyone to relax. Close to skiing, boating, restaurants, and shopping, it’s the perfect year-round mountain getaway.

The space
The House of Plaid was renovated in the summer of 2023. Renovations include all new luxury vinyl flooring throughout the entire home, wood ceilings in the upper level, new windows in every room, new sliding glass door, covered front deck (great for morning coffee in the rain or snow), new back deck, complete bathroom renovation on upper level, new kitchen sink, countertops and appliances.

Main level has two bedrooms. One with a king size bed and one with full size bunk beds. We love these bunk beds for the kids because the lower bunk is only an inch or two off the ground so they are safe if they roll off :) My wife and I have slept in the lower bunk together and we were very comfortable. Both rooms have smart tvs.

Lower level has two bedrooms. One with a king size bed and a tv. One with a queen size bed with no tv. Laundry room is on this level and both washer & dryer are new.

Our house is cozy with a living space (including tvs)upstairs and downstairs. We love the idea of kids/teenagers with their own space to hang and play while the adults can also have their own area. The layout is perfect for multiple families or a small group.

We also offer RV parking on paved driveway with a 50 amp hook up. EV charging is also available thru this same 50 amp outlet, guest is responsible for adapter and charger.


Unfortunately, we do not allow any animals. We LOVE our furry friends but are also aware that some guests have allergies or medical conditions that are aggravated by animal hair or dander. Legally, we cannot refuse service animals.

We are a self-managed rental and take pride in hosting our guests. Our goal is to have you arrive and feel that the house is exactly the way you perceived it to be in the listing. It is very important to us that our rental is clean, welcoming and offers the space for quality time with friends and family.

Guest access
The garage is not open to guests but the paved RV parking and hook up is on the right side of the garage.
