Exceptional Stay at The Moose Cabin - Golden Forest Lodge.

Terrific time in Kemptville, NS at this accommodation - Moose Cabin - Golden Forest Lodge. I recently had a three day vacation there with my 14 year old Son and his Father. We had a great experience from the moment we arrived. We were greeted upon arrival, the owner/host went out of his way to accommodate us and we were treated very kindly throughout the entire stay. The cabins themselves look new and the details of the decorating were so beautiful/serene. Oh and we also had access to a BBQ, fire pit (yummy Smores lol), small stove, dishwasher, fridge, and nice shower in the cabin There are large windows everywhere and it almost feels like you are staying outdoors. Absolute stunning nature and wildlife all around you. A pier/dock a few minutes walk/drive away with kayaks, fishing access, sauna, and great area for swimming on the lake. The pictures do not do this location justice in my opinion. The price is also great considering the quality of the stay, attentive, nice, and accommodating host and the picturesque landscape. Would recommend a stay here to anybody, sincerely. Plan on returning for a longer period of time next summer 2025. Thank you to our Host.

We had a great stay! The cabin itself is quiet and remote. We had wonderful evenings looking up at the stars around the camp fire. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and was a great get away. For reference the access to the lake is quite easy to get to but the lake area is right in front of the owners house. To get the lake you have to walk onto his property and past his house which can feel a bit intrusive at times. Overall we had a wonderful stay! What an incredible spot!

What a fabulous place. Absolutely fantastic for a couples getaway. The cottage is modern and spacious and beautiful. The cottage location is completely private even with 2 other cottages on the property. The pleasant stroll down to the lake takes about 4-5 minutes. The lake is great. The property has a wonderful floating dock and sauna overlooking the lake. The host provides life jackets and kayaks and paddle boards to explore the lake. A huge plus was the water temperature, 100% perfect temperature. The host, Bertrand is amazing. Communication was simple and quick responses. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for time away to unwind and enjoy Nova Scotia nature. As we were sitting on the big back covered deck, the hummingbird feeder has constant action and to top off our weekend, a huge hawk landed about 10ft from us on a dead branch and decided to hang out for 15 minutes. Can you ask for much more. Thanks Bertrand for making my wife's birthday weekend truly something special and to remember.
