Overlooking the mountain, the villa 30 people, pool, disco,10 min beach in Alicante impresses guests with its fantastic views. The 2-storey property consists of a living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms and can therefore accommodate 30 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, a smart TV with streaming services, a fan as well as a washing machine. On top of that, a table tennis table and a pool table are also provided for your enjoyment. 3 baby cots and 2 high chairs are also available.

Air conditioning available in every room with cool and heat mode. Stoves available in the living rooms.

This vacation rental features a private pool, garden, open terrace, covered terrace, and barbecue area.

Pros: Our stay at Villa La Gran Duquesa was awesome! There was loads of space for the 18 of us on the stag do. Maria was great in communicating with us before we arrived and sorted a coach transfer and bbq for us. The facilities were great, the pool being a massive highlight. All the boys agreed that it was good value and a perfect venue. Can’t fault this place and would love to visit again in the future.

Pros: The Villa La Gran Duquesa is a fantastic place, we hired the villa for a large group weekend break and it more than suited our requirement. The pool and outside space is ideal for relaxing and making the most of the lovely weather. The equipment and facilities very good. The owner Maria was very responsive to any queries or problems we had both before and during our stay. The villa is ideally placed to access the local tram network and explore. We would certainly use again and would recommend this villa as a perfect party place.

It had everything we needed, made good use of the pool and the BBQ Distance to the beach about 10 mins away but the tram to Alicante is just round the corner and doesn't take long at all. Maria was super helpful the whole holiday, helping us out when our Spanish wasn't great booking taxis and hooked us up with an events organiser. Would definitely reccomend this villa! Pros: The villa was very spacious and brilliant for what we needed. It had many bedrooms and bathrooms to cater for all of us and was very clean. We enjoyed the BBQ area, we're we dinned most nights with local food from the supermarket. The tram is only a 5 minute walk away to head into Alicante which was perfect for us. We could not knock this villa for anything, the owners Maria and David were perfect. We thank them again for a brilliant weekend.

Because it is designed for 30 people, there was more than enough space and furniture such as sofas, chairs, crockery etc. We really had a wonderful time! Pros: It's taken me a long time to write this review but would recommend the "Grand Duchess" Villa. We were 4 families and a couple of extra's holidaying together and had a fantastic time. It was Grand without being too posh - with lots of teenagers in the party we didn't want to worry about breakages and it was certainly teenager proof. The pool was amazing - beautifully maintained and no sore eyes or ears even though we spent a lot of time in it. Comfortable with excellent facilities for fun in the sun - BBQ area a real plus. No complaints - Maria on hand to help if needed. Really lovely place

Pros: There was 22 of us that stayed in this villa in May 2018.... The age range was from 6months old to 32 years old. And we all absolutely enjoyed our stay here. The villa itself was absolutely beautiful and the owner Maria was so helpful from the moment we enquired about booking it to the min we left. The pool area was fantastic for the children and lots of things around the grounds to keep them entertained. We haven't yet had a chance to go back, but it's definitely in the pipe line for the near future. Thank you so much for having us.

Pros: The villa is superb, we had a fab time with 27 friends for 4 days. BBQ area is great, pool is great, the Jacuzzi only cold water so we didn't use it - guess that's for the real hot Spanish summer. The landlady was very friendly, pays a lot of attention to the household inventory which is good, just an intense process as this is a huge house. There's only one towel per person, and some were missing, but the landlady's helper gave them to us upon request. Paying cash seemed a bit weird but worked ok, and I got the full deposit back in cash too. My friends and I are decent people, we didn't do crazy things or leave lots of waste around, so I didn't feel that the cleaning would've costed 200 euros, but can understand that it's a fix fee. Note that the directions were really difficult, taxi drivers from the airport do not know the area of the villa, and my friends arrived one by one, so I was busy for 1,5 days just to talk to the taxi drivers explaining the address. I think this could be easily improved by adding a clear drawing to the welcome email, and then people can print it out and show the taxi driver, also as many do not speak Spanish. Overall, I had the best 30th birthday of my life and would always come back :-)

Pros: We stayed as a group of 25 in Villa La Gran Duquesa for a week in mid June. The exterior of the property was absolutely perfect; the pool was ideal in size and there was plenty to do, with the table football and volleyball court. We were all comfortable in enough beds and there was a large array of kitchenware to cater for a big group. Maria was a great host and replied very quickly when we had issues with the outdoor showers. We signed up for paella one night, and Maria cooked a delicious meal with more than enough Sangria for everyone! The BBQ area is ideal and we used it most nights to cook. In terms of location, it's about a 25 minute walk to the beach, which was perfectly manageable. The beachfront is equipped with bars and restaurants without being as touristy and busy as the centre of Alicante. The villa is well connected to public transport and it was relatively easy to reach the airport. There are only a couple of things we would change. Firstly, whilst 3 of us were taken round during check in, the rest of our party had to sit outside the front gate. I understand that perhaps this is because of bad experiences with guests in the past, but it would have been better if our party were allowed to sit in the grounds whilst the check in happened as we arrived close to midnight! Secondly, for a group of non smokers, the villa smelt quite strongly of smoke. Overall the villa was ideal for our large group, who came to Alicante for a relax in the sun. The exterior of the villa is its best feature and we mostly spent our time outside by the pool, on the volleyball court or by the BBQ! Maria was extremely helpful and we would consider booking the villa again.

Pros: 21 of us (6 families) stayed at the Villa Grand Duchess in July 2016. Although in quite a remote area, we did find the Villa without getting too lost!! Only 3 of us were allowed access initially with the rest having to wait outside the Villa. Although understandable as the owner wanted to talk us through the rules and regulations and pay the remaining cash monies etc (this did concern us initially as we had not done this before but it all worked very well!!), it would have been nice for the remaining party to have been allowed into the gardens to sit in a shaded area as they did suffer being left out in the heat and sun for 45 minutes! However, this did not ruin a perfect week. The Villa grounds were breathtaking, so much space and a wonderful pool area. The Villa itself was extremely spacious and accommodated our needs and we had a very relaxing week. The BBQ area was lovely and seated us all easily. We had hours of fun with the huge table football, table tennis and volleyball court and of course in the large pool!! The Villa grounds & pool were maintained daily by a very nice gentleman. An added bonus was having the tram only 150 metres away from the Villa, taking us virtually anywhere that we needed to go. The local square with bars and restaurants was only about a 200 metre walk away which was very handy. If you fancied a change or more choice then you simply hop on the tram and the last tram back was usually around 11.30 pm. There were 9 children in our group aged between 9 and 15 and we felt very relaxed with them in the Villa (not too much breakable ornaments etc around), it felt very homely. There was no getting bored for them at all with so many things to do!! The owner was very friendly and although she did not speak English, her equally friendly interpreter was on hand and also contactable whenever we needed her. All in all, a fantastic week was had by all and we would definitely like to return!!
