Your family's week starts here. This Shelby home puts you 10 minutes from Silver Lake State Park's famous sand dunes and 5 minutes from Lake Michigan's best family beaches. Kids sleep soundly in 4 bedrooms, you relax on 77 acres and everyone wakes up ready for adventure.

The layout works for families: full kitchen (tools included for cooking together), spacious living room with fireplace for rainy-day movies, and bedrooms that give everyone their own retreat space. The porch becomes home base for morning coffee, evening storytelling, and planning tomorrow's activities.

Silver Lake dunes are a 10-minute drive rent ATVs, take a dune tour, or hike. Lake Michigan is closer and perfect for younger kids. Local Lewis Farm Market has pick-your-own activities and fresh food for dinners at home. Pentwater's beaches, golf courses, and local festivals round out the week.

House was very nice and location was great! Everything was very clean and fully stocked. The basement had a nice seating area for movies and an air hockey table! Location was close to dune town and Silver lake sand dunes.

I'm a retired Air Force veteran turned entrepreneur and property host. My background taught me that great hospitality is about anticipation, reliability, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. I've owned and operated a restaurant, launched a business, and now manage multiple properties because I love creating spaces where people can actually disconnect and recharge.

I grew up in Michigan and came back here intentionally. This part of the state has something special: it's close enough to big-city amenities but still feels like you've stepped away from the noise. I built this property with that exact intention in mind. My goal as a host is simple: everything should work smoothly, feel genuine, and let you focus on your trip, not on figuring out how things operate.

I'm responsive, detail-oriented, and I genuinely care that your stay exceeds expectations. If you need something, I'm accessible. If you don't want to hear from me, you won't.

Shelby chose me, really. I moved back to Oceana County because it's the best-kept secret in West Michigan: you get authentic small-town character without the tourist overload.

What I love most about this place: Silver Lake's world-class sand dunes are 9 miles away, Lake Michigan's pristine beaches are 15 minutes out, and downtown Shelby still feels like a real community where people know each other. The Lewis Farm Market does pick-your-own fruit and sells the best local produce you'll find. There are quality wineries within 20 minutes, excellent golf courses, and trails everywhere.

But here's what really matters: it's quiet. Fall foliage right now is spectacular. Winter is peaceful. Spring brings renewal. Summer brings families. And there's genuine history here, orchards, farmland, and a sense that you've actually stepped away from the regular world.

It's not Mackinac Island or Traverse City, and that's exactly why I chose it. It's real, it's beautiful, and it's actually accessible for people who want a genuine Michigan escape without the crowds.
