This small, simple apartment certainly met my family of five’s needs for our overnight trip to DC. It was clean, and located in what appeared to be a safe, quiet neighborhood near the Benning Rd. Metro stop. The owner was also easy to get in touch with, and parking was free and abundant. Check-in was easy, and the beds were comfortable. For someone only looking for a place to crash for the night, this offering is ideal. However, it was very small and offered no living space, so it may not be the best choice for everyone. Another factor to consider is that the “air conditioning” for this apartment is two window units located in two of the bedrooms. Even on the cooler night that we stayed there, they did not successfully cool the rooms and certainly didn’t even touch the third bedroom. There was a coffee maker, but the Kcup selection was severely lacking (the only regular coffee was decaf). We booked our stay for five people, but we were not provided with five bath towels. The cabinets had a strange sticky plastic film on them that was peeling off in places, and my kids said they wished there were nightlights in the bedrooms. All in all, if I were going to DC and needed a place to spend the night, I would definitely consider staying here again . Chika was a great host! Thanks for having us!
