A warm welcome to our vacation home in Ilsenburg in the Harz Mountains, right next to the national park. Our vacation home is located in the Ilse Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Harz Mountains, in a completely quiet—but not isolated—location on the outskirts of town.
Right outside the vacation home, you’ll find the wild and romantic landscape of the Hochharz National Park, with its wonderful mountain streams, steep rocky cliffs, and pristine forests.
Welcome to our spacious 80 m² vacation apartment! An outdoor staircase leads you into the apartment, which spans two floors and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. Our three tastefully furnished bedrooms can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. Each bedroom is equipped with comfortable beds so you can drift off to sleep fully refreshed after an exciting day.
From the balcony, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the adjacent Hochwald forest! The spacious “Ferienhäuser am Brocken” vacation complex includes a playground that’s perfect for swinging, digging, and playing soccer.
We look forward to welcoming you! A wide variety of recreational activities are within walking distance of the vacation homes: a water playground, a Kneipp facility, a climbing forest, a disc golf course, and the Ilsenburg National Park Visitor Center. You can start the most popular hiking trails right from the vacation homes. Arguably the most beautiful hike up the Brocken, the “Heinrich-Heine-Weg,” follows the course of the Ilse River and runs right past our houses.
The historic town of Wernigerode, with its town hall and castle, is just a few minutes’ drive away. Bad Harzburg, with its treetop trail and saltwater spa; Thale, with the Hexentanzplatz and Roßtrappe; and many other excursion options invite you to explore the surrounding area.

All good. Excellent house and in a very good location. Wernigerode and Goslar 20 min drive. Halle zoo 1h30 drive. Good walk upto Brocken from house. Brockenbad pool Wernigerode brilliant. 5 min walk down round to couple of good restaurants.

Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die war Lage super und recht ruhig außerhalb der Ferienzeit. Man konnte direkt vor Ort los wandern und auch andere tolle Highlights mit dem Auto schnell erreichen. Die Ferienwohnung war gemütlich und hat alles gehabt, was man benötigt.Wir waren mit zwei Hunden vor Ort.

Schöner Urlaub im Harz

Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub im Harz, eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Kleines negative Feedback: die Heizung würde wohl zentral Gesteuert, so dass es morgens um 7 Uhr noch sehr kalt im Haus war. Ab 7Uhr würde die Heizung dann warm. Schöne Grüße
