Our bright, spacious vacation rental is located on the first floor of a two-family house on the outskirts of Schwelm, surrounded by plenty of green spaces and close to the forest. The historic well house and Martfeld Castle are within walking distance—10 and 20 minutes, respectively—as are three lovely playgrounds, a small soccer field, and the forest with its beautiful hiking trails.
Two supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bakery, and a beverage store are also located nearby.
The Accommodation
****************
Our vacation rental features cozy hardwood floors in the living area and is bright and spacious.
The kitchen has a spacious dining area for 4–5 people, where you can enjoy the morning sun and watch the chickens.
The kitchen is bright, quite large, and very well-equipped. There is a classic drip coffee maker (including coffee filters) as well as a Nespresso capsule machine for a quick espresso or lungo. A few coffee capsules are provided and are available for your use. Basic staples such as vinegar, oil, salt, spices, sugar, tea, and more are also available. If anything is missing, please feel free to ring our doorbell—we’ll help out if we can.
The living room features a second, even larger dining table, as well as a cozy couch and a rocking chair; from there, you can enjoy the view to the south (sun blinds provided) and to the west. The loggia faces south; there, you can enjoy the sun especially in spring and fall, when it’s still too cold to sit outside.
The bedroom with a double bed is also spacious and can comfortably accommodate a wooden crib. The bedroom can be completely darkened with shutters.
The children’s room is bright and cozy. It features a bunk bed, a single bed, and a crib, as well as some toys, books, and art supplies. The skylight in the children’s room can be completely darkened. Upon request, the baby crib can, of course, be placed in the parents’ bedroom.
There is also a brightly tiled bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as a guest restroom.
In a small courtyard shop right outside the apartment door, you can purchase our “homegrown” products, such as fresh eggs and honey, as well as other items like jam, pasta, and sauce, various beverages, and assorted snacks.
Also right outside the apartment door, you’ll find an extensive selection of board games available to borrow—games that we enjoy as a family ourselves, but are of course happy to share with anyone who enjoys them and treats them with care.
In front of our house, there’s a small, south-facing seating area with comfortable garden chairs and a small table. When the weather is nice, this little spot is perfect for winding down at the end of the day.
The apartment is smoke-free. Pets are not allowed.

We’d therefore appreciate it if you could include a few lines about yourselves in your inquiry: Who are you, what brings you to our area, and why did you choose our place to stay?
This helps us get a first impression of who will be staying with us and allows us to prepare for your stay in the best possible way.
We look forward to hearing from you!
