The vacation home has a cozy, rustic decor; the entire house has tile floors. The kitchen-dining area is equipped with all modern kitchen appliances, such as a dishwasher, stove with oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, toaster, and electric kettle, as well as a cozy dining table. There is also a TV, radio, and CD and DVD players. The living area also includes a separate sleeping area. The master bedroom has a double bed, and the children’s room has a bunk bed. An alcove, accessible via a ladder, provides plenty of space for the children to play. The bathroom has a shower, and a washing machine is available in the utility room. A wood-burning stove and energy-efficient electric infrared heaters provide cozy warmth, creating a comfortable atmosphere similar to that of a tiled stove. Thanks to their indirect heat, infrared heaters are ideal for people with allergies, as they do not generate air currents that stir up dust, dust mites, and mold. Bad Doberan is a spa town with a rich history. Sheltered by lush beech forests, it lies somewhat off the Baltic Sea coast. The Doberan Cathedral, the steam-powered narrow-gauge railway “Molli,” and the moor baths have made Bad Doberan famous. Other notable attractions include Heiligendamm—Germany’s oldest seaside resort—and the Ostseerennbahn—Germany’s first horse racing track. The cathedral is a gem of North German brick Gothic architecture. The town’s appearance is characterized by neoclassical buildings, such as the palace.
